Why would you include a rise in premiums in *2009* in your "analysis" of the effects of Obamacare, which didn't pass until 2010?

Try again - really, all you had to do is read your own link:

“It is clear that in recent years health care cost growth has slowed,” Health and Human Services department spokeswoman Erin Shields Britt told ABC News. “In the ten years before the health care law was passed, health care costs increased at 8.7 percent per year on average, according to the independent Kaiser Family Foundation. This study showed a rate of increase of 3.8 percent in 2010 and 4.6 percent in 2011, while in a separate study, the Kaiser Family Foundation recently estimated a rate of increase of 4.0 percent in 2012, illustrating that overall health-care cost growth has significantly slowed in recent years.”

This doesn't actually necessarily reflect on Obamacare - it's more to do with the economic slowdown. But it does show that your claim that the cost of health care has shot up recently is completely false. Your knowledge of facts here seems to be as strong as your understanding of "skewed" polls.

    1. Democrats have won Presidential and Congressional elections before, even back when the party was much more "socialist" than they are now. Hell, even "centrist" Clinton was working on "HillaryCare" when he got elected.

Do Republican business types always throw tantrums like this? I wasn't around during the Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, etc. years.

    2. LOL at Republicans here accusing Democrats for being "fact creators." This right after Mitt Romney created unskewed polls that had him "shell-shocked" by the election results (and not long after Bush's fictitious WMD story got the US into a costly war).

Republicans talk about "small" businesses every oportunity they can. Yet when the hell did any small business ever matter enough to be on the news? My mom used to be a small business owner. And there sure as hell no one giving a damn about how many people she hire/fire at any given time.

OTOH, I do hear a lot of global corporations getting their panties in a wad over this though...

Despite mountains of evidence that it is completely false, the true believers on the right still insist on believing that 'markets' behave rationally.

That would be the point of divergence the two different interpretations of what this actually means.

In fact, faith in the pure rationality of markets and marketplaces tends to be behind a large percentage of the instances where I am dumbfounded at the logic on the right. That and 'eternal souls'.

The very first line in your link:

In 2012, U.S. companies and their employees saw the lowest health care premium rate increases in six years, according to an analysis by consultancy Aon Hewitt.

    Hmmm.

Um... Right there in what you posted shows only a 4.9% increase in health care premiums in 2012. almost half the previous year. the 2013 is projected not reality.

You are complaining about business owners throwing a tantrum? Let them do what they want. If they want to fire off people because, according to you they hate Obama, then let them. If they are wrong and Obama loves business, then they will suffer. If they are right and they save a bunch of money, cool. Apparently you vote left, but it is still their business and they can do what they want with it WITHOUT you or anyone else trying to tell them otherwise.

Good for you and good luck to you. The country needs more people like you.

    By the way...

Do you have (plan to have) more than 50 employees and are they full time?

Will you pay for their health insurance, or just planning to pay the penalty?

They managed to blame Bush for the last four years. Would be a remarkable achievement in messaging if they can successfully blame CEOs for the next four years.

Coal, RIM and Groupon?- only pure imbeciles would hold these up.

By the way, trailer-trash, T. Boone Pickens and the booming shale gas industry in Texas claim more jobs are being created in $3/mmbtu shale gas than are being lost in $5/mmbtu thermal coal. You trailer-trash love you some Boone when he is financing the Swift Boaters. So, which is it? Answer the question, trailer-trash.
