Fisher's defense is horrendous. Get real. Always been. And they won championships despite that. Nash is just as atrocious except hes 10 x the offensive player Fisher is.

And heres Phil Jackson's thoughts on Nash and for some of you hoping he'd handcuff the triangle on him

have nash made a 3 that won the championship? i dont think so. and whether fisher's def is good or not, it wont change the fact that his defense is many times better than nash.

SO now we're gonna try discredit Nash because he hasn't made a 3 to win a ring?

You know the Lakers are legit when other fans are reaching for reasons it wont work

PJ is a great manager of egos and at is very important for a team with two divas like the Lakers. However, he doesn't address their fundamental flaws as a team, most of which stem from simply being too old at a time when league athleticism is at its peak. Everyone is using Brown as a scapegoat because they thought the Lakers would dominate from the get go, but they forget how bad this team looked at the end of PJ's tenure, and that was a younger and more athletic Lakers.

Nope, YOU were the one that's discrediting fisher. You made fisher look like trash but in fact, he had done a lot for the lakers.

Come on, Fisher is just as bad at defense as Nash.

Didn't say Fisher was trash. His defense is.

And the Lakers won despite that. Imagine what they can do with Nash thats all Im saying

If you keep telling yourself Fisher = Nash then youre just fooling yourself

Owner needs to kiss Phil's ass on a public stage. Every time they push him away, they end up begging him to come back.

I have never said fisher is better than Nash, but I wouldn't be bold and say Nash is better than fisher in the triangle. thats why I pointed out what fisher have done for the lakers and i'm not sure if nash can do those things.

Nash will be better than Fisher in the triangle simply because he's a better shooter. However, he'll be a role-player under this syste (just like the Princeton, another thing Greatone1978 was wrong about), which really minimizes his talent. It's similar to how Payton-- another ball-dominant guard-- didn't fit in the triangle depite coming off a 20/8 season the year before. Only Payton played defense.

its a waste of talent to put nash in the triangle. morey should work some magic and trade TD for nash

it's not silly haters when the team has underperformed for the past two seasons...

the writing was on the wall for this team to underperform to expectations as well.

go ahead and bring in Phil.

they will not get it done. again.

your expectations were unreasonable. 4 straight NBA Finals appearances are darn near Impossible when it comes to 2011

Last year they got a trade revoked...remember that? And a certain someone had to be coddled all year to not worry about being traded again (Pau Gasol)

The team is reloaded (Added Jamison and Meeks), Gasol is worry free, Kobe looks healthy, Howard >>>> BYnum

The team isn't perfect but it is in a strong position nonetheless

Don't care. In an Ideal world for me the Lakers play good basketball and the Rockets go deep into the playoffs. At least now we may see the former.
