Flip Murray, Tracy Murray, Andy Murray, Bill Murray...

Whatever they're doing, find them! Find them and fire them!

At least you're honest in your prejudgement of Lin.

Look, we get it. You wanted Dragic, and obviously nothing short of an All Star season is going to get you to change your mind about Lin.

Lin's played a solid season so far. The numbers bear that out. You can deny if you wish, but it won't change the boxscores.

Personally, I would suggest you either learn to live with the fact that Dragic is NOT here, or you can stew in your anger all season and ruin what is actually quite an enjoyable Rockets season so far.

There are LOTS of young and rebuilding teams. The Rockets is the only one with a credible shot at making the playoffs.

You should understand that for the amazing gift that it is. There are ALOT of team fanbases that would trade spots with Rockets fans in a heartbeat.

I believe we're 28th in TO's, which is honestly to be expected when we're not only the Youngest team in the league, but had the highest Roster turnover (13 players), AND Harden didn't have a training camp with us.

That should improve over time as alot of those TO's are lazy passes/passes to empty spots (misreading your team mates).

That we're playing these games so closely against playoff contenders like the Nuggets and Memphis is actually more impressive than it is a red flag.

Thats what I was wondering actually, looking for some sort of backing on that.

James Harden said it, Morey said it, and anyone who covers this team has said it... The Rockets aren't there yet. They are still another major piece away FROM HAVING A FOUNDATIONAL CORE. That means that after they get that secondary piece, they still have to find players that fit around that core.

So yeah, the Rockets have a long way to go. IMO this season is about finding some sort of identity and exploring what they have with this roster. Right now, the first half of the season is seeing what you have in the 2nd and 3rd year players to see what their ceiling is with extended minutes. After that phase is done probably sometime in early January we should get a good idea as to the futures of guys like Morris, Patterson, Lin, and Parsons.

So this is such an important time for the Rockets to be giving these guys a chunk of time to prove themselves as pieces of this franchise moving forward. If not.... Morey has shown to not flinch a muscle and send them packing. Thats why Im preaching patience right now for the first half of the season. The Rockets have used multiple lottery picks, and time developing these guys. You have to see what you have in them before you send them packing to then see what you have with the Rooks.

To me, this is a season of discovery.

Exactly. IMHO we are currently a 34-48 team. I actually feel pretty good that we were in the Denver and Memphis games until the end. Both of them are going to be very tough outs in the playoffs this year. Things have not been rocky, even with starting basically 3 second year players. By the end of the season the games that we closely lose now are going to be wins. There is much to be optimistic about.

I'm not surprised there are Houston Rockets fans that accept another year of being fooled... Only one year in the past 15 years we got passed the first round of the playoffs and currently you want to start a thread talking about expecting to suck again this year and be ok with it. Not surprising.

We are not contenders! Even Daryl Morey has said we need one more superstar! If we can get Josh Smith, Lamarcus Aldridge or Kevin Love then I would call us a contender until then, this is a rebuilding team!

When you have been following basketball for nearly 30 years, come back and let's talk. I have a feeling you will sing a different tune.

I expected the lottery even after Harden's addition. I hope to see internal growth as we continue to go along in the season.

The casual observer I can see making the mistake of having contention expectations and getting into all the hype to why we should be better than we are.

I had hoped the average poster here on this board were a level above that. I suppose the forum would look different if I put every poster here with less than 100 posts on my ignore list ;) A general search for the following phrases would nail most of them: McFail, Let Terrance Play, Fire the coach and playoff bound.
