Right now Harden is the only real scoring option we have, we're not facilitating offense as a team, and opponents are keying in on that and exploiting that weakness. No one one our team is taking care of the ball, ad absent Delfino and Harden our entire team can't hit a basket. Harden vs the world is simply unrealistic. We don't have the personnel to compete at a high level, and we started out in a hole because we had so few practices together as a team on account of the last minute trade.

Anyone who thought that we were playoff bound simply because we swapped out Martin for Harden was being unrealistic. We're a 35-37 win team, and that's okay considering we just gutted our team in the offseason, and that we're now the youngest team in the league. I hope people will be patient. By this time next year our team will look much different than it does now.

I just see all of this money tied up in Harden and Lin and neither of them are anywhere close to being leaders of a championship team. I would feel much better if Lin was making 5 mil per year and Harden was making 7 mil per year. Our future would look bright then. But these guys draw so much salary that I think it will be hard ANY decent players to put around them, even roleplayers will be hard to aquire now.

Les has all of his eggs in one basket, just as he has always done. But this time may be the worst because I don't think Harden or Lin are very good, nor do they have much potential, imo. Atleast when we had Tmac and Yao we had a chance, despite horrible supporting cast. With Lin and Harden I think we're destined for 14th pick, NBA purgatory once again.

Scratch that, I think I got the salaries wrong. Lin as a 2 million a year player would be good, Harden as a 5 or 6 million a year would be good.

See, you're an angry person. Otherwise you could elaborate.

Doesn't look like you know much about NBA salaries then.

How much would you pay me if I could teach you to accept the reality for what it is and actually enjoy watching the basketball instead of being frustrated and controlled by events external to yourself over which you have no control or influence?

Seriously, how much would you have paid me? What you think how much that service should be charged for?

These are both related, and they are mutually exclusive to the rest of the points in your post. Being a young team does not mean that we have to be badly coached. That's probably why people are upset if I had to guess.

Terrence Jones! D-Nuts! Royce the Flight! How can you post at a time like this? People are missing! And they're hungry. It's a double whammy.

The fact you're tossing around those kinds of salary numbers just shows that you're trolling.

What kind of talent do you honestly think you can get for $7m? Or $5m for that matter outside of draft talent on rookie scale?

Seriously, look up some team salaries before you post about what you think Harden and Lin should be paid. All you are displaying is either complete oblivion to reality, or that you are a troll.

You think OKC was offering Harden 4 years/$52M for fun? That the Knicks were willing to match 4 years/$28M and go DEEP into the luxury tax out of the goodness of their hearts?

If you are a sincere fan and want your posts to be taken seriously, then you need to stop posting such obviously ludicrous statements -- such as drawing conclusions on Harden, Lin or Asik after 5 games on the youngest and most inexperienced team in the league.

i know everyone was talking about tanking to get a big draft pick but we just had 3 of the best of the last draft class and none are nowhere to be found. what good is getting the number 1 pick if the won't play them?

No sir, we have an $80million player playing like an $80million player in a $5 offence, surrounded by:
a power forward that is scared of rebounds,

a center that can't catch and finish at the rim yet,

a small forward whose best offensive weapon is the put back slam,

a point guard whose strengths are facilitating & driving to the basket, relegated to spot up shooting and not running the offence,

a back up point guard who at the moment is playing like the worst player on the planet, Australian High school included,

a back up small forward who thinks that he is the Argentinian hybrid of Reggie Miller and Michael Jordan,

a back up tweeter who's play is inconsistent at best, ( although he is doing much better)

a back up center, see above.

And 3 talented big men, as well as the national College leader in assists, who McHale has super glued to the bench...for reasons only the great McHale can disclose.

This group of players has been together for all of 2 weeks, give or take, & we are still pushing teams up until the final buzzer...until our players legs go weak from a lack of a rotation.

Give it time, it will gel together nicely...

And we have cap room to attract another max player when one becomes available.

Stay positive even though losing sucks.

The coaches don't seem to know what offense will work with these guys.

They should just change their tune and tell us we're not playing for the playoffs; we're rebuilding and play the rookies more.

The fans don't want to see more of PPat, Morris and Parsons playing bad. Let's give a chance to play Jones, Machado, Motie. They may be bad but I'm sure they'll be more entertaining than the 'vets.'

    George is getting upset.

Bottom line, this team is an unfinished product. More moves to come.

And even if it was a finished product, the youth and lack of playing time together make a rough start to be expected.
