Maybe Morey's niche is confined to evaluating player's talent and not coaching talent.

Harden is Vernon Maxwell part II. The guy may go for 50 points on night and then you won't hear from him for another 5 games. Yet we payed 80 million dollars for Harden, so unlike Mad Max he should be consistent from game to game.

Lin hasn't even played like an NBA point guard yet. He has gotten destroyed by every point guard he has match up against this year. Knight, Teague, Lillard, Lawson, Conley......all destroyed him. I don't see why we payed so much money for Lin but wouldn't for Dragic who is a much better PG.

lin isn't a point guard in this system. he's the shooting guard and harden is the point guard. lin brings it up and hands off to harden every time. he doesn't even run the per. he definitely out played those point guards you mentioned. you love harden yet he's the point guard, and you guys still think he's the featured player after today, lol.

Maybe. I just think Morey didnt want to give the job to Finch right away because he may not be ready and does not have the experience yet.

So Morey looked for a coach, any coach that was fine with coaching the team two-three years, then step down and give Finch the head coaching job.

Lin, I agree with. He's been torched and hasn't lived up to his hype and probably won't. Too much talented and athletic PG's today. Harden, I feel the same way but deep down inside, I think he may turn it around and live up to his worth.

This Mchale guy, i've seen his schtick all last year and he isn't worth crap as a coach. The years of criticizing post Hakeem Rudy T, JVG, RA, I truly see how terrible of coach McFailure really is.

Unless these players can make some drastic improvements, then I still see the Rockets as a team stuck in NBA purgatory. Not good enough to make the playoffs, not good enough for a good draft pick.

Most great players make for terrible coaches.

It boggles the mind why would the rockets hire someone withso little coaching experience and give him a salary of a elite coach. Some teams won't even let him coach them for free. If they would of gave like 2 mill a year then they could just shallow the contract and find a new coach but, Les is rich but he ain't ballin like the Lakers. I think we are stuck with him until his contract ends in 2 years I think.

If you are going to rue, then rue for a guy like Moses. The Rockets did not want to pay him either. Dragic was nice, but geez, if you are going to gnaw off your own arm for nothing, then at least do it for a great player.

Goran is a Sun now, get over it.

    McHale should NOT be fired.

    McHale should NOT be fired.

He should be promoted to team motivator and be part of Asik's personal coaching staff. :)

I wouldn't trust McHale to watch my kids at a daycare facility.

Usually when you lose, you want your rookies to develop.

No, I don't trust him as a motivator and frankly, I question if despite being a hall of fame big man if he can coach one up.

McHale had a record as a coach and the Rockets' management surely knew what they were getting when they hired him. I am really surprised that there is such a loud clamor for the firing of McHale but not the person who was mainly responsible for his hiring and for turning the once mighty Rockets into trash as a basketball team and franchise.
It is amazing that the real culprit in all of this mediocrity is still with the team and everyon else is blamed for this joke of a franchise except for the one who put all of this garbage together.

Eh, I wish we would have hired Elie as head coach. Not necessarily for his basketball expertise but because he has always been loyal to this franchise and won championships here and understands Rockets tradition. He also spent a lot of time learning under Popovich.

This isn't a playoff or bust season for the Rockets. I say keep him. He did a decent job last year making our team relevant in the West. The team is going through growing pains, and thats expected. We're young, McHale has a lot of knowledge and experience. A 2-3 start is no need to start firing Kevin.
