Someone mentioned that in some of the reading on espn. Straight up trade, I want to see how many people like or dislike this idea.

Why would you trade for a 39 year old guy when you are rebuilding?

Prime Nash - no question. Current Nash, absolutely not. He plays like he has one foot in the grave already.

As much as I dislike Lin's game, this would be pointless trade.

    Horrible idea.

The Lakers are in the Win Now mode not a Lin Now mode

Doesn't make any basketball sense anyways. Kobe wants to win in the next two years, so does Nash, they are both close to retiring.

This might be one of the silliest trades I've seen proposed.

This trade makes NO sense for either team.

Nash has 3 years left on his contract and then he'll be 43. The Rockets have nowhere near a championship roster, either in complementary players or on the bench. And the entire team average age is 23.

The Lakers have Kobe retiring in 2 years. They're not interested in spending the time to develop Lin with such a small competitive window.

Lol, 24 year old marketable pg with tons of potential or 39 year old worn down pg who's likely to be retired within 3 years? TOUGH ONE

Sounds like a trade a Laker fan would suggest....completely pointless for Houston. LA probably gets better, or at least a more healthy pg.

Still Lin by a mile, Nash is in the twilight of his career while Lin has his best years ahead of him.

Why do we need Nash even if he performs better than Lin. maybe he gives us like 3 more wins, but those wins mean nothing in the grand theme of things and hinders our tanking.

well, i'm not arguing who is better, but nash might be good for machado's development.

well that doesn't outweigh losing Lin at all. Machado is on his way to a dleague career, I doubt 100 Nash's can turn him into a great player.
