    It probably didnt influence the future movies too well in regards to solid adult storytelling, but that was probably the best "money" move he did for his films.

    I could only imagine how neat it woulda been to have Wookies instead of Ewoks (come on George, you could have easily mixed different SPECIES of Wookies, some small and cutesy, and some tall and strong. Get the best of both worlds there)

    Though I'm not ashamed to have been HEAVILY into the toy fare of ROTJ as a kid. Its the negative effect fans DON'T like, but its very much what left the lasting impact (Really 50% of the "epicness" of the 80's was its marketing and merchandise tie-ins)

    What does Tarantino mean by saying hes not interested in the simon west version of star wars? Who is simon west?

    Also Spielberg says its not his genre? He's done many sci movies and has a sci fi movie coming up.

    Yall think maybe the Michael Arndt treatment wasn't very good and no one wants to do it? Makes me think they will end up getting some scrub 1st time director =(

    Treatment was probably bad. added preasure, Disney is kinda a sh-tty studio to work for if you're a creative and the the John Carter debacle has made them more tight and controlling.

    Spielberg wanted to direct the prequels, so I think he's lying. Maybe it's a white lie, though. Imagine if he knows that the director has already been hired, and it's somebody like Brad Bird. He doesn't want to be a Jay Leno saying "I'd love to take somebody else's job" so he pretends it's not his thaaaang
