WOW! Wonder how Jim Buss must feel right now after passing on Adelman against Kupchak and Kobe's advice. I must say I am floored. I had no doubt Brown would finish the year. I guess the outcry in LA is far worse than I thought.
So Kupchak really was in Brown's corner, and it was just the Buss family that was losing patience. Ain't so surprising, since they are the ones signing those massive checks to put together this Superteam, only so they can turn around and net the worst record in the West.
I wonder if this was more about keeping Dwight more than any thing. The Lakers season was spiraling. The moment Dwight said something like "We need to remain calm and blah blah blah." told me there must have been some finger pointing going on and that is the only way I see a a coach getting fired that quickly like this. That there was drama building and the Lakers had to fire the coach.
Wonder if they'll bring back Phil Jackson now. Tons of names out there... Nate McMillan, Mike D'Antoni, Jerry Sloan, etc.

That's very insightful, and history tells us that's exactly how Lakers drama pans out in the press. It means the opposite of what they're saying is what has happened. "We need to remain calm" means that there are some people who weren't being calm at all. "I have support for Mike Brown" means that there are some people who don't. The Lakers really are about parsing out what is said. It's all coded and straight from Opposite Land.
wow... Mike D would be actually a good replacement... howard is 100x better than amare, but idk if nash can still run
Let's be real here. As basketball fans we ALL want to see Nash and D'Antoni reunited, and for Dwight Howard to have prime Amare type years as a pick n' roll player. Will be ridiculously fun to watch.
Hahahahahahaha and this should be a surprise to...ABSOLUTE NOBODY. Jim Buss is an absolute moron. Should've hired Adelman when they had the chance.
So If MD'A takes over will these vets like Metta, Kobe, Pau, and non phx suns Nash be able to execute his SSOL offense? That is I'm assuming if they toss the Princeton idea.
