Do you want the lottery pick or lowry? I believe it is top 3 protected so would you rather have 3-13 pick or lowry? Lowry before he got hurt was playing like a top 5 point guard and he has increased his skills every year. He is getting hurt a lot, but I think the raptors did well with the pick.
You don't have to pretend and "put yourself inside the mind of a Raptors fan" or anything. You can go visit them yourself. The vast majority of Raptors fans are: 1. Incredibly pleased with Lowry 2. View him as a superstar-level talent and far more valuable than a hypothetical draft day gamble -AND- 3. Their greatest fear is that Lowry will leave go play for another team two seasons from now even if he's offered more money by Toronto. They have zero faith in ownership and management to surround Kyle with good pieces, and have seen their star players leave for other teams time and time again, so this isn't really that unrealistic a fear. I understand where they're coming from. In short, those fans love Lowry, as well they should. Bigtime bromance going on. Don't get confused, it's Landry they hate. As in Landry Fields. Now THAT guy is um...not very good.
Agreed. Colangelo has played all his cards, he's currently waiting for the river and has iffy odds. He should be fired if Toronto fails to get to the playoffs this season.
If I were a Raptorette - I'd want the pick, because I would worry Lowry bolts at the end of the season.
