    I like your thoughts...

    Here are mine:
    40 -Lin - Game Manager
    40 -Harden - #1 Option
24 -Morris - Better offensive threat at position
32 -Patterson - he is doing a fine job (he is not the long term answer & the trade deadline will be here soon)
    24 -Asik - Defense/Rebounds

let Harden play some point while Lin sits--> he wants the ball in his hands anyway
20 -Delfino - (SG, SF) 3 point shooter (more PT this way)
20 -Parsons - (SF, PF, SG) Good defense off the bench..
    20 -Jones - (PF, C, SF) Brings energy/attitude
20 -Smith - (C, PF) can score in the post at a high % --> change of pace from Asik (Cole can take some of these mins. till the trade deadline IF it will help his trade value any)
    DNP Cook/Douglas/Cole

    maybe the play-offs (fingers crossed)

    Montie, Machado, White --> RGV

As a newly Rockets fan via Lin, I say Lin should come off the bench. Since McHale wants Harden to run the offense and Lin is better when he runs the offense, having Lin on the bench is the best solution right now and maximizes the two player's strengths.

    Starting:

    Douglas
    Harden
    Parsons
    PPat
    Asik

    2nd group:

    Lin
    Cook
    Delfino
    Morris
    Smith

I don't understand why Lin can't run the offense in the first unit and Harden being an actual SG. From the looks of it, he is not a good distributor. But I feel like he is suffering from Westbrook syndrome in that he doesn't know when the score and when to pass. His mindset in the last few games has been to score the ball, but he needs to be a better facilitator, especially since he is the PG on the team now thanks to the incompetent coaching staff.

Well, Rockets signed Harden to $16 mil/year. So that means he should be able to do everything, especially scoring when no one else can. That's McHale's mindset - just give it to Harden and let him score or pass because that's what they believe he can do. That's why they traded for him and gave him a max contract.

    Harden
    Parsons
    DMo
    Asik

This is a very tall and balanced line-up.. cant wait to see it. Those 5 are the future!

    Here's my thought.

    PG: Lin
    SG: Harden
    C: Asik
    PF: Toney Douglas
    SF: Scott Machado

Reasoning - What's better than 2 playmaker? 4 playmakers. Now everyone can make plays except Asik. Asik will just get rebounds and let the playmaking mafia reset.

Asik - 19 rebounds in one game, improving offensive ability, with Harden and Lin he is going to average 15-20+ points a game.

    Harden - Scores/Assists/Steals/Hustles/Drives/Shoots/Is not selfish

Lin - Scores/Assists/Steals/Hustles/Drives/Shoots/Is not Selfish/Huge Clutch gene. Also has the most crunch-time experience as a starter - on one of the NBA's most media psychotic stages.

Delfino - He provides hustle and 3pt shooting and interior intangibles that the young guns still are learning.

Cole - Can play off the post, dunk, score, has a bit of a chip on his shoulder, has chemistry with Harden.

Right now, Toney is probably a better 3 shooter than Lin. So if Harden drives, he can kick it out to Toney for a good 3 shot. Only thing Toney brings is defense and outside shooting. Just don't have him do anything else.

    The real question is...

    Lin/???
    Harden/Delfino
    Parsons/Morris
    ???/???/???
    Asik/Aldrich/???

My answer is Machado, Parsons/Morris/Royce, Jones/PPat/Smith, and Dmo (Royce in D-league)

I would like to see Royce at point though a point guard would have to play the 2 with him, guarding the other team's point guard. We would also need a sf that could cover a 2 to make up for the mismatch that presents for us on defense.

Current starters are appropriate...but the rotation really needs adjustments. Douglas sucks, and we need to get DMO minutes as well as Jones. It is absurd that they have not appeared in a game yet. Totally absurd.

Lin, Harden, Jones, Dmo and Asik.

Let White run the 2nd team with Douglas, Delfino, Patpat and Parsons.

Morris is showing offensive moves, but his still a tweener that is too small to defend 4s and too slow to defend 3s.
