I think Chandler coming off the bench and being replaced by Terrence or Marcus, or whoever is a more reliable scoring option would help the Rockets offense flow more easily. He can still get plenty of minutes coming off the bench anyway...what do you think?
I don't know if Morris has changed his body enough yet to be able to play 3 for long stretches. If anyone starts at 3 besides Parsons, it will most likely be Delfino to open up space for Harden and Lin.
This. It is clear our team is better with Delfino in. If Chandler was hitting the outside shot consistently I'd feel differently, but Delfino is surprisingly playing good on-ball D and shooting the lights out from deep.
Now tell that to McHale. I don't think Chandler Parsons is good enough to be a starter. His upside on offense is not big enough to make up for his deficiencies on offense. Like Clutch said in the other thread, having him and Asik and Patterson playing at the same time is not really good offensively.
Disagree, I think he can be a better scoring option than both Terrence and Marcus and that he's just not getting himself involved enough. I'll give it another month before I agree with you.
honestly, I wanna sign Michael Pietrus if Parsons continues his crappy play...he can be our defender and can score a little..McHale's also askin so much from Harden..he asks him to be a defender and scorer as well which causing the beard to get tired so much.
It is more about flexibility in the hips. Morris needs to be able to swivel hips a little bit better to cover a SF from what I've seen. He does look a lot better this year, but not sure if he is there yet. Also, he needs to be better at three pointers to play the 3 more effectively.
Ok so what happens when Harden, lin, or delfino gets tired? Is there going to be enough fire power to put one in the basket. Not all 6th men are offensive sparks of the bench but this team needs just that and Delfino is our only best option. The way Parsons have been playing, we need to replace him all together but I'll hold my judgement for another 30 games or so for this sophomore slump to go if it ever does.
Bench CP and start Delfino, then McHale wont have to rely on the sub rotation hes done the last 2 games where he takes out CP and Pat with like 3-4 minutes left in the 1st, then he takes out Lin and Omer, and leaves Harden through the entire 1st. then in the second, he will sub in CP at the beginning and take harden out, and then eventually brings harden back in with 5 minutes left in the 2nd...pretty odd. I would start Lin, Harden, Delfino, Pat, Omer then the first sub should happen late 1st so they can use the break between the quarters as extended breaks. I would sub in CP for Harden, and Aldrich for Omer. leaving Lin to anchor the offense and CP to do the defensive stuff. then at the start of the 2nd, I would bring in Douglass, Mook, and TJ for the rest of the team and have them play 3-6 minutes. and then with 5-6 minutes bring in the starters again the main point is swap Delfino and CP, sort of what like what the spurs did a few years ago with Finley and Ginobili, they would swap depending on matchups or something like that
To me this is the height of ignorance. Chandler Parsons is a VERY good all-around utility player at the small forward spot, and there is a reason he starts. There aren't many players who can round out a box score the way he can. Look at the company he's in, for players who put up his combination of points, rebounds, and assists or better. No wonder a statistician like Morey is high on him. I guess if we were to have the dumbest conversation in the history of sports and pretend that PPG is the only player stat that is important, we could do that! But savvier Rockets fans would really do well to recognize what a special talent Chandler Parsons actually is, and would hold off on trying to give his job to terrible D-league players just yet!

Like you said, he looks INCREDIBLY quick compared to last year, and he had some solid switches and stints on smaller players the last few games. I think he can do it, in fact, I think it is his best shot at being a good player in this league.
you gota be kidding.. better court vision maybe, but scoring? no no no TJomes has already displayed a silky smooth offensive game better than Parsons NOW and Jones upside is alot greater on O drawing comparisons to a Al Harrington. Even Marcus Morris has display an ability of a higher ceiling offensively Parsons has looked LOST out there in alot of stretches its hard to watch, the bench is calling his name
Delfino needs to start as we need a good 3 point shooter that will need defence from clogging up the lane and punish double teams. Look at spurs! Also play jones for god sake Send Douglas to Siberia Sign veteran pg or even play machaddo ! Or play white !
