Sounds like a plan, good luck with it. I'm sure once you take care of these things Asian voters will turn in droves to the party of Todd Akin, Donald Trump, and Joe Arpaio.

Sort of like blaming President Obama for all the problems in the country?

    Uh huh.

Honestly this is your line of defense? The article points out that the Republican strategy has been very focused on winning specifically the white vote. You are right that is not specifically disparaging Asians but that does shows that it does run a racist strategy. You said there wasn't evidence of that which is what I have provided.

I agree with you that Asians are particularly disparaged but a white centric strategy isn't going to win over Asians.

See that's lazy. I could say the Dems are the party of Al Sharpton and Michael Moore and Cynthia McKinney and Alan Grayson, but is that an accurate characterization?

Joe Arpaio oh boy! Ask the Hispanics in Phoenix how they really feel about this guy. True story, an old co-worker's wife relatives lived in this small town of Guadalupe, AZ. He had told me some extremely disturbing stories of what happened during the blockade of Guadalupe set up by the one an only Joe Arpaio. Google it up for the sugar coated version of what happened.

I disagree with that and the votes prove it

You see a lot of the nonsense on the right with Joe Arpaio and banning Sharia law. Asians are probably nervous they are next.

Al Sharpton and Michael Moore are not elected officials or Democrat candidates with real chance of winning major elections.

    ^^rockets_judoka,

He's not saying it's snobbish to go to college, he's saying it's snobbish to assert that college is something everyone should be expected to do. That it defines a successful person.

Mike Rowe of Dirty Jobs has been making a similar point. We've neglected and maligned skilled manual labor to our detriment.

Again... you are scape goating, it is not the media's fault...

Also, GW Bush lost the hispanic vote by 20%.... while that is better, it is not good.

Here are some numbers from a National Journal article, they didn't mention 1996 so I'm grabbing what they have:

    http://www.nationaljournal.com/then...-than-7-in-10-asians-voted-for-obama-20121108

% of Asian Votes for the Democratic Presidential Nominee:

    1992 Clinton: 31%
    2000 Gore: 54%
    2004 Kerry: 53%
    2008 Obama: 62%
    2012 Obama: 73%

What changed over the last 20 years? Heck, what changed between Kerry and Obama 2012 that turned 20% more Asian voters Democratic?

You can talk about the Democratic Party's success in using the "media" or "Hollywood" all you want, but these were things the GOP were blaming 20 years ago and before that, too, on why anyone would vote against the GOP. Liberals supposedly had control over all that MSM and Hollywood and whatnot back then, too.

    Something changed since then.

#1 many of those Asians voting now are second generation, and they overwhelmingly are Democrat.

#2 I think we are leaving out that Republican voters also alienate non majority groups, from the birther crap, to the muslim hysteria, to the creationism and dumbing down of the importance of education.

Republican party have gone more and more extreme right. The democrat party have gone a little right as well, but still get called extreme left by the Republicans, and they wonder why only Christian White men want to vote for the party.

Exactly. Any prejudice is an immediate turn off to someone who has experienced bigotry in one form or another. Both sides are guilty, but it runs way more rampant and is pretty much tolerated in the GOP. Unfortunate that the true conservative moderates stay quiet, while the wackos (Rush, Hannity, Coulter, O'reilly, etc.) get a national soap box. Instead of being rebuked, they're paid millions and get their own shows. A mild, recent example...

The world is changing. Clearly women are and that doesn't matter if they're black, white, yellow, red, purple etc. Finding a balance between order/control, equality, and granting the rights for the opportunity of what a person wants should win some votes right there.

Is politics like human life? Everyone starts out in diapers, we can't walk, can't drive, and can't support ourselves. Then when we get really old our life slowly reverts back to many traits like when we were a child.

Personally, I'm not ready for that movement quite yet to slowly get things back to the way they were in the 1950's. Eventually it may happen if some politicians don't change or if they convince the next generation to do so.

For the time being, its looking like the new America is here to stay and for a long time to come.
