Hehe, what game was JuanValdez watching?

    Lin's TOVs for these four games: 4, 3, 3, 2.
    Harden's TOVs for these four games: 4, 5, 5, 6.

Harden's many TOVs is partly due to his high usage, and it's been very predictable, leading to many forced plays. It should go down once Lin is more involved in running the offense.

I think it was a response to last year when Lin had a lot of turnovers in some of the games.

Rockets need to trade Asik to NY for Novak & Tyson so Linn can bloom into beuatful flower

I am sorry id rather see Lin and Harden take a charge call taking the ball in...

over shooting the ball from 3 point line...

or dumping the ball into Asik..

    Jesus really?

if anything Lin has turned into a deferbot...here on the Rox...

if this is what he is going to become...

I would have rather seen Lin dumping the ball into Amare, Melo and Tyson

and run to the 3 point line in NY

it's not really his turnovers that is the issue... it's lin not being aggressive and his horrendous shooting. I'm starting to see flash backs of Rafer Alston's FG percentage.. YUCK

How are you going to be aggresive though if the opposing team is packing the paint? The fact that people aren't seeing how easy this team is to defend is beyond me. We are shooting 27 percent from 3 but taking 29 of them a game. Eeesh!

    Lin is not a shooter...

his game is to break down the defense...get in the paint

and then take the shot or pass it to an open teammate when the others collapse on him...

When I check yesterday, Durant leads the league in TO's per game. Hign TO rate won't make you a great player, but only great players will have the chance to average high TO rate.

I agree with Morey on this. For young players, some TO's are an indication of aggressively trying to expand his game. When I play NBA2K, I turn over the ball a lot in early games just to improve on everything.:)

lol Nice if true, but starting to sound like Morey can say anything and people won't question it.

"His assists are better than everyone else, and so are his turnovers".

I understand what he's saying, but the same might be true of many or all other TO-prone PG's in the league, rendering the explanation meaningless.

If you're going to take every criticism of Lin so personally, I suggest not reading any threads at CF. And if you're gonna go there and suggest Knicks over the Rockets you might want to gtfo. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the company of new posters and enthusiastic new Rox fans, but the hypersensitive, over-defensive reactions by 2012'ers up in here gets tiresome real quickly. Understand that we are critical of all players and not picking on JLin. I think he'll do awesome and prove all naysayers wrong.

How is it that it "might be true of many" high-TO PGs in the league? You can disagree with Morey's interpretation that having a high proportion of charges points to some things that are positive instead of being a wholly-negative stat. But it is simply not true that all PGs have an equal proportion of offensive charges among their TOVs. That is patently false and nonsensical, rendering your explanation meaningless. You can read the data differently, but the numbers are not in dispute here.

While I do not like turnovers, what Morey said is true.

    You're assuming that...

    1) They weren't already haters.
    2) They weren't already biased against Lin for any of a number reasons (including attachment to Dragic and Lowry).

And even if we accept the argument that overzealous Lin fans are generating backlash, it's a fairly weak argument for a fan to temper their enthusiasm.

Should fans NOT be as excited because of fear that other fans will resent it? Whether its fans of top tier players like Kobe, Wade or Lebron? Or low tier players like Steve Novak, Parsons and Lillard?

Let fans root for who they wish and if they say something ridiculous, then correct them with FACTS. Otherwise, I say leave them be.

If someone wants to root for Morris and think they should get more play time so be it. Similarly, if someone feels Morris is underperforming, they're entitled to that view too.

Free speech is a wonderful thing.
