ClutchFans Game Thread: Nuggets @ Rockets 11/7/2012

The team shot the ball in the up 30's and were still in the game. It will take some time to get the team going but I like what I see so far. Jones needs to get some PT though. Smith should be brought in instead of Cole.

 

I can't recall the Rockets getting any easy baskets like the Nuggets were, nor did we seem to be getting shooters open shots. Our offense just isn't in sync right now, like it was last year with Dragic/Scola/Martin. I think this will come with time and a more balanced roster.

I personally don't like the Lin/Harden/Parsons perimeter trio, there just isn't enough 3 point shooting. I saw Lin get open threes and not hit them and I never saw Lin create an open three for Harden. Parsons was getting some, but he isn't the guy you want shooting them.

 

Its gonna be an up and down season for this team... If harden has a bad game we will struggle to win, if harden AND lin have bad games like tonight it'll be impossible to win!

 

We were playing a limited installed offense with Harden plays. McHale wanted the ball going through Harden from the get go. Purely coaching and what they focused on in practice the last few days.

 

Lin needs bring into his game one of those Chris Paul moves where he does a PnR to the free throw line for a shot. Should be some easy points for him there.

 

this.. not sure why he is so passive on the offensive end.. that play where he took it to the rim for a layup is somethinf he needs to do more of.

I agree...even if he does have a good game some day, it just shows how inconsistent he is.

Nothing special in Parsons.

 

I agree he should take more shots (provided he isn't shooting like he was tonight)

 

They were all open. Which is the sad thing.

 

Lin showed some signs of normalcy in the 4th quarter........ We can only hope.......

Lin is prone to nosebleeds, he had several of them in NY. Maybe he needs surgery to fix that.

 

no athletic players, no consistent jumpshooters because we traded all of them, big men with butter fingers, and a "star" SG that doesnt JUMP when he attempts a jumpshot which gets him blocked easily. Gonna be a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG season

 

Machado and RW were on inactive list, what happened to them?

Guys, we desperately need a couple more players. I seriously hope Morey makes a trade now packaging Parsons and Patterson for a better power forward. I was hesitant on Josh Smith but he will really help with the rebounding and the defense. Please make it happen Morey.

Unbelievably crappy reffing. That push should have definitely been a foul... 4 point swing on that play alone.

Awful hard to get a rhythm going when the refs let the one team foul the other team like crazy.

Will just leave it at that.
