ok thanks for the answer .. I actually studied US history in high school, but yeah I will do more research on this lol
Really a lot of it has to do with cities vs. rural - and the mutual disdain for each other. If you look at any state you will see the urban centers are liberal and the rural are red. It's true all over the country. The exception is rich people vote conservative because of taxes, and union workers vote liberal because of wages.
Allen West lost. One nutjob down. Michele Bachman has a little over 900 vote lead in MN-06 with 50 precincts outstanding. It's see sawed back and forth but she might pull this one out. I'm still hoping though.
This is why you guys have been losing. You eat your own. This is the kind of attitude that bought you Democratic Senators in MO and IN tonight.
Huge victory for the MIDDLE CLASS!! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/MGQaH3-LK54" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Bachmann squeaked it out. Minnesota: I am disappoint. Oh well, can't get everything you want in one election cycle.
Congratulations MC. I certainly hope and pray that this turns out good for the country. I do have my doubts. We should have well over 20 Trillion in debt by 2016. Just taxing the rich is not going to generate enough revenue to change that unless BOTH sides work together to cut spending. Eventually the debt is going to cripple this country.
Looks like Obama won Harris county with a margin of two votes! http://www.chron.com/news/politics/harrisvoting/
Hey I liked your tweet from last night! <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Mitt Romney still deciding which Mitt Romney will deliver Mitt Romney's concession speech.<a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23Election2012">#Election2012</a></p>— Big Bird (@BigBirdRomney) <a href="https://twitter.com/BigBirdRomney/status/266050926719160321" data-datetime="2012-11-07T05:34:18+00:00">November 7, 2012</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Batman you are correct. The problem is when a Republican makes one little misspeak then the liberal media just goes nuts with it. A lot of liberal posters on here do it to. The two senate races we lost are prime examples of this. They believe strongly in the sanctity of life, including life in the womb. They made some stupid statements which the media took this and ran painting them as extremist. Another example, VP Quayle under Bush 1 misspelled potato and was painted as being stupid. Biden misspeaks all the time and gets a free pass. It is hard to beat the media when they are by an overwhelming majority liberal.
Mitt wasn't going to cut the deficit, he was just going re-direct it. The deficit "crisis" will be around a lot longer than You and I; it won't be 'solved'.
