I have a hard time believing Obama will carry NC. Were they talking about percentage of the black vote, or number of black votes?
I wouldn't call FL just yet as in previous elections the Miami Dade area was one the last areas to report. That area is also the most heavily Democratic.
I heard them say "number" but I was typing at the time so might not be sure. I don't fully buy it either, just like I am surprised that the FL Sen. race is being called for Nelson so early, but am just passing on the news.
Maybe, but Florida has certain polls closing at different times. But also I think Obama had to have a larger advantage from the early and absentee ballots which would have been the first ones and in and reported. So I could see the general trend going toward Romney perhaps with a smaller spike like Dade County coming in later. I guess it depends how big Romney is up right now.
Yup - Florida numbers will be useless to the very end because they are distributed so unevenly and counties report at such different times. It happens every election.
Most interesting race of the night so far is Indiana Governor. This wasn't supposed to be competitive, but is tied, even though Romney is beat Obama by 12 right now.
