My god, are ya'll still on this thing? Both sides are so annoying. Old posters who seem to get off reminding the "newbies" that they're been here before Lin therefore making them superior lol! If the Linvasion rustles your jimmies so much that for some inexplicable reason you can't seem to take your own advice and IGNORE the posters who don't agree with you, then go be Knicks fan, I can assure they're as butthurt over Lin as you, you'll fit right in to their arrogant attitude. I don't think those that admit it's "hard" to cheer for Lin because of his fans, realize how foolish they sound. You're really telling me you're letting a bunch of overzealous fans make up your mind from cheering on one of the players of your beloved Rockets team? Are you really that small and petty? To the overly obsessed Lin fans, take it down a notch or two! Listen, as an ex-Knicks fan, I followed Lin religiously but realize this is a different fanbase. They don't value ~Linsanity as much as we did, and it's completely understandable. Only we know why that time was so special, it was the circumstances that led to it that made it such a pleasantly surprising experience. We can't act like Lin's ish don't stink, and although I'm SURE a few of his harshest critics are fueled by racism, you can't assume EVERYONE that doesn't bow at his feet is racist. Just chill out a little. Both groups are so focused on the other one that you both fail to realize you're equally over-sensitive. Example 1: Sane veteran member: Lin needs to fix his shot. Insane Lin fan: Y must U focus on the NEgative!? What About HARDeNs 8 of 24?!!!!? Example 2: Sane Lin fan: Lin played well tonight! Insane veteran member: GOD! Not everything is ABOUt LIN! See this is WHy I MISS TEH old DAYS!! All LIN LIN LIN now!!! That said, I appreciate the cool veteran posters who welcome the "2012s" with open arms to the Rockets fanbase and sane, mature Lin fans who just want a nice place to follow Lin's career and are just excited about the team's new era. Let's go Rockets
Don't click on this thread then This thread is for perma arguing with Lin Boys You can't handle the heat don't visit the thread
If Lin isn't hitting his jump shot he's pretty much Rafer Alston status. Those that insinuate Lin is better than Lowry & Dragic are LOF's Fans who have watched the Rockets prior to this season know Lowry > Dragic > Lin. Really miss those guys but good riddance, for all I care they didn't wanna be here.
most Lin fans are not even trying to get dragged into the Lowry & Dragic vs Lin debate... as if you traded these guys for Lin and or dumped them for Lin because you lost Lowry and Dragic before you even decided to bump up the offer to Lin.. thats the irritation of most Lin fans talking to the long time Rockets Fans... who should be in the know...
I just want to say those who are arguing about the comparison between Lin - Dragic - Lowry should just drop it. There are no conclusions because #1 Small sample size, you will never be able to win this argument because either side will just fall back to small sample size. Those who thinks Dragic is better will be countered by Linsanity run resulting back to small sample size. Those who thinks Lin is better will be countered back to his falloff games resulting back to small sample size. No one wins. #2 Different variation of stats. All parties have strong stats supporting their cases. Depending on the different advanced stats, both can make arguments that the other are better. No one wins. #3 All 3 have been doing amazing in their first 3 games this season. All 3 had times when they look off like Lowry's 4th quarter missing in action, Lin's questionable decision making, and Dragic's controversial shot attempts. But they are all at the same time living up to their contracts. So you can't determine whose better. In fact I'm flat out going to say that whoever can determine who the better PG is based on all their game performances at the moment is delusional. The biggest factor here is how Dragin and Lin will playout post their small sample size streaks. And so far, as far as I'm concerned (based on what I watched) they met and exceeded my expectations.
Rafer Alston, seriously? If Lin's shot is not falling he still get's into the paint for layups/and1's/FT's. Rafer rarely got to the line.
Lin is only getting better... only started 20 so games this is his 3 third year... Look at dragic and lowry heck even nash in his 3rd year in the nba Lin is already ahead of all 3 of them so far in the careers
Why does it have to be insta-LOF if someone thinks Lin is better. Thats whats creating the controversy. When someone slaps on a stereotype just because they think someone is better than another person. Instead of applying stereotypes at random and prejudging someone because thats who they are rooting for.
Sweet post. Exactly. Let the season playout. I'm in it to judge who goes to the playoffs - followed by TEAM wins.
You're either trolling or know nothing about basketball. Have you ever actually watched Lin play? Lin does his damage in the paint, either finishing himself, finding a teammate after collapsing the defense, or drawing a foul. That's kind of his main thing. Getting his jumper in order would help keep the defense honest, but the main thing Lin's known for is his penetration, of which he's been doing a lot of with the Rockets.
The majority of people who have watched Lowry, Dragic, and Lin play without any bias on skin color or race and solely on quality of basketball play, skill, and ability would make the same determination. Lowry > Dragic > Lin
