TPM's line is set -- A Last Look A few more polls will trickle in today, but for all practical purposes the TPM Electoral Scoreboard is set: Obama 290, Romney 191. Virginia, North Carolina and Florida are the tossups.
While I'm not a Johnson supporter by any means, voting for him does have value for libertarians. If he hits 5% in the polls, the Libertarians get on the ballot on every state in 2016 and get access to federal matching funds. Even though Johnson won't win, that's a pretty material and tangible goal that would make running as a third party much easier in 2016
My final prediction: Obama - 275, Romney 263. (Map) Deciding vote is cast in New Hampshire. Senate (47/3/50) - Republicans win all of the races currently listed by RCP as "toss-ups" except Wisconsin. Ends in a de facto tie with 47 Democrats + 3 Independents caucusing with Democrats. Heavy pressure for Lieberman to switch sides of the aisle. House, Republicans lose 5 seats of their advantage, final House numbers are 236-199.
Lieberman is retiring. Chris Murphy (who is a democrat) is replacing him. (unless Linda McMahon can somehow pull off a win)
It looks like the screen is not calibrated correctly. This has happened the opposite way as well. Here is a thought. Maybe you should alert a poll worker instead of loading video to youtube.
That's a great idea. "I asked the voters on either side of me if they had any problems and they reported they did not. I then called over a volunteer to have a look at it. She him hawed for a bit then calmly said "It's nothing to worry about, everything will be OK." and went back to what she was doing. I then recorded this video."
He did alert the poll worker, if you read his description on youtube. The poll worker told him "don't worry. everything will be fine. just finish your voting please." That's when he decided to take the vid. I don't think it's seriously anything weird, but boy would it be frustrating to experience! edit: ^ and he tried Stein as well. Dude says he is a software developer, so that's the first thing he tried.
"I first thought the calibration was off and tried selecting Jill Stein to actually highlight Obama. Nope. Jill Stein was selected just fine. Next I deselected her and started at the top of Romney's name and started tapping very closely together to find the 'active areas'. From the top of Romney's button down to the bottom of the black checkbox beside Obama's name was all active for Romney. From the bottom of that same checkbox to the bottom of the Obama button (basically a small white sliver) is what let me choose Obama. Stein's button was fine. All other buttons worked fine." - description
Then get the attention of an election chairman. Things can be done about it. Just because you talked to a clueless old lady that was volunteering doesn't mean there is a mass conspiracy.
click on the youtube video. it is in the description. hence - description. learn2youtube or it didn't happen.
He can say anything he wants in the description. It doesn't mean it happened. Show me a video of him pressing further down and then maybe there is a problem.
