The Blaze? Seriously? At least Russia Today has something decent every now and then, the Blaze is just garbage tabloid writing.

So let's summarize what you are able to discern from a grainy photograph.

There's a bunch of guys standing around. They don't support Obama publicly, and in 2008, were loudly and actively denouncing him as an Uncle Tom and a race traitor, but *you* cwebbster know that they are secretly in favor of him, so when they stand in front of the doors for the mostly-black residents of that community, as a representative of a group that generally despises Obama, they are secretly initimidating fellow black people into voting for Obama.

This is a "common sense" scenario of voter intimidation in your universe?

Doesn't seem very common sensical to me - it looks more like you want to ignore the entire context of the NBPP's idiotic racial separatist anti-Obama message and where and to whom it's being delivered, and just say "OMG SCARY BLACK MAN INTIMIDATING! MUST BE PRO OBAMA"

    This seems rather ignorant.

Because you equate a black man standing there with a white group who would hang people from a tree so they could die for the simple violation of being black.

It's not that simple. Call me when the NBP start lynching the people in line for voting Romney.

This sums it all up very nicely. NBP don't like Obama. I'm not sure how they're intimidating people into voting for him. That's especially true when they aren't doing anything intimidating anyway.

I actually would have no problem with it as long as they were being peaceful and obeying the laws of the land. I don't agree with any of their messages but they have the same rights as everybody else.

Right now cwebbster is wishing he'd double checked to make sure that the New Black Panthers were actual Obama supporters before starting this thread.

    Hide the white womens!!

In all seriousness, if I went to vote and saw this guy standing outside dressed in all black I would find it kind of odd but I wouldn't be intimidated to vote. I think most people however would feel quite a bit different if there was a klansman wearing a hood outside. It's just not comparable. My guess is that this is in a black neighborhood as well. Maybe if these guys showed up in an all white neighborhood then there'd be a bigger concern here. There's going to be a lot more voter intimidation at polls by aggressive poll watchers in minority neighborhoods than what's most likely happening here.

basso posting rumors about Seals going to confront NBP is pretty funny, and filled with 6th grade drama.

But the SEAL thing does bring up some questions about voter intimidation.

Which is more intimidating to voters? A man standing peacefully doing nothing, or some military guys coming up and starting a fight with the man standing peacefully?

the issue last year was people in paramilitary uniforms with batons in hand loitering outside polling stations (and the NBP most certainly have a violent history)

So they are intimidating voters not to vote for Obama or Romney? Who do you think they are intimidating voters to vote for or against?

I am curious what Sam thinks this person was doing?

Was he trying to help McCain? Must be since he doesn't support Obama.

weapons shouldn't be allowed at polling places. The batons crossed over the line for sure.

NBP violence doesn't compare in any way to violent history of the KKK

....and the people who they view as their traitorous establishment lackeys, like Obama.

Actually since he is half-white I assume he has a special place in their pantheon of enemies.

Please make sure you include this consideration in all future discussions of the NBPP both on and offline.

    It's not, for reasons stated.

    Why don't you address them?
