I would too. Not for Smith! Among all rookie F's, DMo has the most potential in becoming a star player. He just needs to bulk up a bit but not so much where it will affect his agility and skills.
Sorry if I posted earlier, but I'd like to see Greg Smith given a shot. Great body, athleticism, attitude, and young.
I have faith DM will find a way to fill the role player slots. This is still a rebuilding year, but I don't think we really need to have a high draft pick. We have the cap space, we have the first stone, we have some interesting youth. We have played fairly well in the first 2.5 games. I am very curious to see how we play against good teams though. I am really hoping they can toughen up Donatas Motiejunas, he is only at 222lbs. I really expected Bynum to come to Houston next season, I can't imagine they would do that now and pay Asik the remaining 20 mil after this season, but it would be nasty to have two true big men. I would love for Aldridge to come here, but if Batum is as good as Portland thinks he is, he may not wanna leave. Some of the free agent PFs include J. Smith, David West, Milsap, Landry (player option), and Odom. Not sure who I would want with this team. Gonna be interesting come the trade deadline and then free agency.
Big Baby would be fantastic in a backup role. I'm sure Morey and Les will get the player possible and available within the next 12 months. It's well known that Kevin Love is unhappy both with his contract and with the Wolves' perennial cellar dweller status.
I wouldn't be opposed to Big Baby coming in for the right price, but I don't think he makes any significant difference. Kevin Love is a dream I love having. I just can't see it happening, despite Khan's track record. Too many years locked in before the player option comes up. Maybe we'll get lucky and Love gets so frustrated that he makes a trade request. I suppose getting injured would make that extra year he wanted more important. Here's to hoping.
David West and Milsap would fit well with our starters. I guess it depends on each teams current playoff situation and future outlook. If we trade for either of them, it will probably take Jones.
I'll take one 92-93 version please. In today's lackluster big man era, 92-93 Olajuwan would be good for 30 points, 20 rebounds, 6 blocks, 3 steals and 5 assists a game. Dwight Howard? Obliterated.
I really think we should let our rookies develop first and some better Pfs are on the market or have publicly (or loudly privately) stated they want to move before we waste our cap space on a blackhole like J Smith. Give the team time to find an identity.
Terence Jones is great in NBA 2k13 we really need to give Terrence Jones a shot. He is awesome in 2K13.
Feels strange looking for a star PF when we have so many guys on the bench who allegedly play that position. Ideally, given our spread offense and defensive stalwart in Asik, I think you'd want a Lamar Odom type, who has a high bball iq, can pass, drive, handle, shoot from outside, etc. Isn't that what Terrence Jones is supposed to be? But imagine if we had a guy who could handle like a guard, lead the break and set up both guards who move well off the ball...sounds like royce white to me. But then again, hard to win close games without a guy with a post game...like Donatas? Seriously McHale, play some of our rookies so we know if any of them are any good.
Smith is in the rotation, he's just injured. Well at least he was, but Aldrich has shown us some productive minutes so who knows.
