It's first now I'm starting to realize how ridiculously good Olajuwon really was!

In 1994 he became the only player in NBA history to win the MVP, Finals MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards in the same season. He was also the first foreign-born player to win the league's MVP award

    2× NBA champion (1994, '95)
    2× NBA Finals MVP (1994, '95)
    1× NBA MVP (1994)
    2× Defensive Player of Year (1993, '94)
    6× All-NBA First Team (1987, '88, '89, '93, '94, '97)
    3× All-NBA Second Team ('86, '90, '96)
    3× All-NBA Third Team (1991, '95, '99)
    5× All-Defensive First Team ('87, '88, '90, '93, '94)
    4× All-Defensive Second Team ('85, '91, '96, '97)
    12× All-Star
    Olympic gold medalist (1996)
Olajuwon ended his career in the top ten all-time in blocks, scoring, rebounding, and steals (a center being top 10 in steals is unreal)

An interesting fact about the great playoff performer Olajuwon is also that he has the highest point per game average in the playoffs ever for a center which is damn impressive.

And to understand how amazing this man was and how less amazing his teammates were. If you look back at the games from '92-'96 where Hakeem didn't suit up the Rockets only won 7 games while they lost 27 games which makes them a .25 % team without Hakeem.

One more thing to remember was his sheer strength. The guy was amazingly strong, even though he looked a little lanky. He had old man strength his rookie year.

He(in prime) will average 22 points, 11 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.3 steals nowadays...still impressive numbers.

I fixed it for you. Hakeem in his prime would kill the centers in the nba today. 22 and 11 is a joke. Hakeem played in the era of the center and dominated. No way these chumps today could hold him to 22 and 11.

I am a bandwagon fan and even I know this much. Then again Hakeem destroyed my Knicks time and time again back in the day.

Hakeem in his prime would embarrass Dwight so badly its not even funny. Better defender. Infinitely better offensively. Today's centers are hot garbage. The last two great centers were Shaq and TD and they would **** on Dwight Howard as well in their primes.
