Dude, Novak saved our winning streak with a game winner If you don't know who Novak is, don't call yourself a Rockets fan
What's wrong with these Rockets fans? Praising a player, Lin, who is now a Rockets, for what he did last year seem to bother them so much.
What's "wrong" is that Rockets fans have been watching Rockets players over the past years. Hence, we look at things from a Rockets perspective, understand Rockets players, like with Jeremy Lin(this year) or Steve Novak(Rockets years). If you expect Rockets fans to look at issues from a Knicks/Jeremy Lin fan perspective, you will be disappointed.
Translation: Jeremy Lin has to prove himself from scratch again. Just like he had to in College, and just like he had to in Summer League, and just like he had to last year.
Based on his statement - Nope. Harden at OKC and Harden's stats in OKC don't matter. His record only holds the last 3 games. This is a good thing for Harden imo.
He didn't say that. Read his post again, take a hiatus, and think about it for 3 or 4 weeks. Then come back and tell us what you've figured out. Thanks in advance.
What this also means though is that Steve Novak in his eyes and according to him in the eyes of Rocket fans - is only a 47% 3pt shooter, despite the reality that he is now a 53% 3pt shooter. Due to the fact that Steve Novak ceases to do anything that actually counts because he is not a Rocket anymore. On this reasoning one can also assume that if Kobe Bryant were to join the Rockets, we would have to erase & ignore all his NBA championships as they don't count. You just got trolled hard.
Funny you all were calling Harden a star, franchise player even before he played a game for the Rockets.
Bone-headed at first glance but ~ I like it. I want him to be aggressive, I want him to believe in his teammates and their ability to get the ball. I want him to trust in his court vision. Do you want a timid 2nd tier guard or one that plays balls out. Makes mistakes. Learns from them.
Judging from the various basketball forums that I browse, I think the Lin scrutiny is dying down. Before the season starts, there's always a lot of tension, stemming from wondering if your team has made the right moves, but once the games starts, the tension sort of dissipates for most. Now that Felton is proving a serviceable PG and Knicks are doing well, I see Knicks fans more willing to credit Lin for being a good player and recognizing that Houston is a good situation for him. So the not matching worked out for both. Before, they were very tense, either blaming Lin for stabbing NY in the back (by "asking" for the second Houston offer, which isn't true) or speculating wildly like "FO knows something we don't, that knee is finished," etc. It cuts both ways too -- I notice less "Fatty" comments about Felton, now that he's playing well. And non-Knick fans are recognizing how good a Harden/Lin backcourt can be, so I think everything is just calming down. I see a lot more "good PG, but overhyped" comments than "scrub" comments nowadays. There are still a few degenerates posting racist comments like "chinaman" and just strange irrational hatred, but you can't do anything about that.
That is a given. But your taking my response out of context. Thus creating a different picture for someone reading just your quote/reply But I am honored to be quoted by Tinman. And your right the ones that are most important are the Rocket fans. My look of awe. I am inspired.
