That was indeed a terrible call. Hope they can give the Tide a run for their money.

Wish it was at Kyle Field, should be an interesting game regardless.

There's no reason why SC should be ranked ahead of TAMU at this point. Lame.

You guys have losses to the same opponents, and they've beaten the #5 ranked team whereas you guys only beat the #19 team. If anything, their resume is more impressive, yet you believe they have no reason to be ranked higher.

    Aggie logic?

I'm hoping for this. Not sure if this current Texas team can beat them, but I'd sure like them to try.

There is no way DeLoss Dodds allows this to happen. When A&M left for the SEC, he gave instructions to all coaches in all sports not to schedule A&M in anything.

ADs and coaches have no control over bowl game invites. The Cotton Bowl would kill for this game and would put a lot of pressure on both conferences to make it happen.

Must have missed that #5 win when I skimmed the rankings. My bad. Us Aggies are too busy making money to look at **** closely.

He would if he could but he cant so he wont. OU would be a better matchup. Texas would just be too perfect though. That's a game I'd have to go to.

They have no control over invitations, but great influence over whether the invitation is accepted or if they go to another bowl.

I've never been an Aggie fan, but I sure as hell will be pulling for them this weekend.

Not sure about the SEC, but schools aren't allowed to reject bowl invitations in Big12.

Really? Is that new? I can't remember what year it was, but I believe the last season of the Fran era, A&M was 6-6 and bowl eligible, but turned down a bowl because of Fran being fired and it was some no-name, loser bowl. Maybe that is because it wasn't a Big XII tie-in bowl?

Either way, no way Texas would turn it down anyway. That would just make them look really pathetic, and they are not that dumb.

Still a LONG way to go before the Cotton goes that way though. I still think LSU might end up in the Cotton with Florida going to BCS.

Honestly, Texas A&M is the most popular team in the country this week outside of Tuscaloosa. Everyone outside of the SEC wants Bama to lose, and I'd say most schools within the SEC want Bama to lose as well.
