I can provide referral links again for anyone who wants in.

790 is also running a promo for this site. I think you use the promo code "790" when signing up to get into a tourney for free.

I pick lineups thinking I'm screwed then wind up winning.

Give me your email addresses and start playing on FanDuel.com

I want to be your referral. If you want to make money playing fantasy football or just want to have fun playing weekly tournaments... either way its a cool concept.

post your emails here or email me through the board and I'll send you a referral link that gets us both hooked up.

As a bonus I will provide you with fantasy advice and leave your referral link as rep on your BBS username.

bumping a way way old thread...but seems this daily fantasy sports stuff have taken off.

curious how it actually works. i know you gotta stay within a salary cap, but what kind of stats are used to keep score? is that just determined by whoever makes the league?

theres H2H and tourney formats correct? how do payouts work? did i see something like 50/50 type leagues, i think which are basically 50 join...25 win money, 25 don't or something. hell idk.

is it pretty similar to just like doing a regular yahoo/espn fantasy league? just looking at matchups and selecting the best players for that week? (for football at least)

Basically yes. You are trying to optimize lineups based on set salary. You can do 50/50 or head to head if you can pick a consistent team. For tournaments you have to draft aggressively and stack high expected performers from the same team in order to hit big money in the top 5%.

The guys who win big are using their own algorithms to predict expected value along about 10% hunch or educated guesses. They will usually take a few losses in head to head but make most of their losses back when they stack 9-10 lineups in a tourney that all hit top 1%.

You cash in anything, you get paid next day usually.

Regarding stats used to keep score:

    Draftkings:
Fanduel is similar I believe, except it's .5 ppr and I don't think it has bonuses like 100 yd receiving/rushing game.
