Just watched talking dead and T-dog looked so sad. He almost led some tears out multiple times. I feel bad for the actor
I wonder if there was no zombie apocalypse would Maggie give someone like Glenn the time of day. Damn if there was a good reason to have a zombie apocalypse it would be limited options for ridiculously hot chicks.
Soooo... Does Marel end up teaming with ricks group to take down the govener?? There seemed to be some tenison there when he was talking about leaving.
Good call, I hadn't thought of that but it makes sense. However, Marel also seems to hold onto some contempt for Rick and the group.
I am sure there will be some hate towards rick because of his hand but in the end his brother trust rick and they work together to stay alive sooo that's going to be huge.
Wait...did Sophia's Mom end up with the rest of them at the end...or did she go missing like her daughter? So far, I can say I hate the Governor/safe town storyline and I don't particularly like the Michonne character nor do I like Andrea in that storyline. That whole side story feels like "Jericho" or any other dumb apocalyptic show where they have some shady leader in charge of a town with his own wrecking crew. I have no idea where that storyline is going but McSurfguy is not impressed so far. I actually liked this show more just following the one group around. Any time they switch off the main group...the story sucks so far. Kind of disappointed in losing the two regular characters there. And, especially dismayed with Rick's reaction to the loss of his wife. He was so cold to her for a while now and he knows every day can be your last. Yet, he persisted in being cold to her and now he's mr. upset she passed (when was he expecting he would have time to try to fix things between her other than a pat on the shoulder?). You think he could have forgiven her a while ago knowing how quickly you can lose someone in this new world. It did look like he was about to go kill the rest of the prison zombie population at the end there he was so upset. I would have liked to see him rampage through the prison off-ing zombies (maybe next show?).
I wasn't a fan of the side story either up until Merle shows up... Merle makes everything better, heck I'd watch the Merle Show....
Thats what i said.. where the hell did she go??? They never showed that part. I dont hate the Gov. Story line but i do feel like **** is about to hit the fan really soon. Andrea needs to wake up but i do understand why she wants to stay... it has food, protection,Meds, etc. why would you want to leave? They REALLY need to get Michonne going, because she is starting to get boring with her 1 liners and Mr. T look. I liked how T-dog went out like a hero, but it was coming sooner or later he started to feel bad for those guys and his time had expired. As for carl i feel like hes going to be the last guy standing when this show is done. He has the right attitude for this world now and i can see him in it till the end.
I'm getting that same vibe, especially during that flashback sequence. I kind of get this The Road feeling, where it'll be him and Rick left in the end, and Rick dies leaving Carl alone to make his way. --- I disagree about Rick's reaction. Sometimes you don't know how much you truly love someone until they are gone. Considering how poorly she treated him in earlier seasons and the things she did, it's easy to see him burying his feelings for her and letting his hate overcome him. Not to mention he's become a little more unhinged this season after the whole Shane thing. And even in this world, I can see him taking for granted her safety and thinking he has plenty of time to forgive. Remember that line to TDog, where he asks him if he wants to go back to sleeping with one eye open, and TDog says I never stopped. I also think maybe Merl will turn on the Governor. Considering how much he's changed since season one, how Daryl and Rick have become pretty trusting of each other, I see a scenario where the Governor tries to kill Rick and co, and Merl saving them (mainly because of Daryl). Also remember Andrea asking Merl if the Governor is good. He answers in a somewhat indirect way. He feels he owes a debt to him, but sooner or later the Governor's psychological control over him is bound to end.
That is going to be the best episode ever along with Hershel's other annoying daughter... Not Maggie, Maggie is cool but the other rugrat.... I hope Carl and her get the axe soon!!!
^^^the control is starting to end. Merle wants to leave, but he can tell the Gov will not let him. Trouble is coming.
Episode was far and away the strongest of the season. The Woodbury stuff is really going to get interesting, trust me, most of it is set up right now but I think they'll pay it off big time. Surprised Lori was off'ed this early, was expecting them to keep her death from the comics and save it for the finale, nice way to keep comic readers off balance but thank God it was earlier than later!
