I thought they said it was C4s. That scene at the shop was awesome. Did not see that coming at all. I hate it that this show only comes on once a week.
Maybe it still is. The main CIA agent survived and knows the terrorists were there to retrieve a large suitcase. Most likely its C4, but with Hezbollah involved could it be a dirty bomb? Don't think Carrie and the CIA know the magnitude of this yet perhaps. Why is Hezbollah actively involved on American soil? One would think it would be Al Qaeda. Is it because in the show Israel has preemptively struck Iran?
I would assume it's because of Iran. Hezbollah hates Israel as much as Iran does so it would be plausbile. That would also offer up an explaination for the dirty bomb since Iran would surely have access to some sort of nuclear materials. Also, it explains the military style hitsquad that took out the agents. I bet it's a much bigger plot, headed by Iran.
don't want to turn this thread into that...but the wire is better than both imo. breaking bad is in the top 5. GOT hasn't even begun it's third season.
I felt the whole shooting scene was too unrealistic personally. I just didn't buy it. I think terrorists would try to do as little as possible to draw attention to themselves. And, to think they could not find another way to get C4 that they felt they had to go into that shop assault team style to wipe out a whole bunch of FBI. Sure...that's the ticket. Now, whatever they are going to do, they better do it fast. This isn't "24"...is it?
So I finally watched this episode and while that scene was awesome for it's "Wow!" factor, I'm with you, totally unbelievable. Unless there was nuke material in there I just can't believe a terrorist cell would send in an armed unit to take out CIA operatives and cops just to get their hands on some explosive material that is somewhat easy to get more of. What happens if they failed in that attack but didn't get killed and were taken prisoner? Seems way too risky for a terrorist cell.
That's why I think that there's got to be more iranian involvement than we think. The terrorists themselves might not be able to orchestrate that kind of military hit, but the iranian military special ops sure could.
Carrie freaked out because 7 CIA ops died including that one Hispanic dude who was her somewhat friend. (Galvez?) They went in after information she got from Brody and they got murdered.
Really found that to be going nowhere, wasting eps to get paid for another series episode, the daughter story went nowhere and so did the prison visit and of course another unexplained Brodie absence into the woods, where no one notices, so what now just before the election Brodie will kill Walden or save the world, and become president.....if only they had made one series I could have been a classic
I was waiting this whole episode for a big random explosion or gunfire. I was really disappointed overall.
Looks like SNL picked a good time to spoof this show. They basically showed Carrie all over Brody in the skit and then, the very next episode, Carrie is all over Brody yet again. That girl is whack.
