Getting blamed for somthing is not always bad. You cant get better by ignoring criticism.
Bball is a team sport. I dunno if u watched the game. the ball was stopped when Harden received the ball. And everyone was waiting for him to shoot cuz they didnt ecpect him to pass.

Harden was clearly fatigued and could have benefited from passing the ball during some moments. They are still young and learning. The loss was on the whole team, not a specific player.

Thanks. I was just annoyed at how some people can refuse to see what's in front of their eyes.

I just had a thought. If it was indeed the game plan to overwork Lin on D, that may be why, when he had the ball, he preferred to dump it to Harden rather than attempt to make the play himself: because he knew he had to conserve his energy. And that may be why Harden thought he had to be the hero: because the coach had ordered him to do it. If this is true, I can't blame 7/13 for doing what they did. I would not complain about McHale, because quite frankly nobody on the current roster can stop LMA.

I agree... any coach would have told their players to give the ball to harden... It just happen that it did not work in the final minutes, just a risk any coach would make.... Lin was not exactly consistent yet despite some improvement... Just imagine what will happen if Lin were given the last ball and failed to convert? The pressure would be higher....

At the last minute, Harden shouldn't have had the ball. Lin shouldn't have had the ball. The entire starters shouldn't have had the ball because they all should have been in a timeout figuring out the last play.

I'm sure if Harden feels really off he would have told the team to give Lin the ball just like the timeout when he hurt his ankle. After that TO, Lin was initiating and driving everything to give Harden a rest.

It is because they didn't get to figure out any final play, Harden had to take the hero ball because that's what McHale wants. So it's not Harden or Lin's fault, they both just played by the book. McHale is to blame for the last play because he didn't TO for them to clear their heads.

The problem with Harden was that he played selfishly. He thought he's KOBE or MJ. Reality will bring down the Rockets back to the ground.

Their ball movement sucks. Too many bricks because of the contested 3s taken by the rockets.

Harden will be guarded by an elite defender Iguodala. Lin will face the much faster Lawson. Harden better realize that this is a team game.

Yeah 19 assists over the last 3 games just isn't enough. You realize one of Harden's biggest strengths is that he's efficient and doesn't take bad shots right?

The game was lost becaues McHale did not differentiate the difference between JLin (PG) and JHardin (SG) roles. JHardin was out there playing like he was both the PG and SG, while JLin was playing like a 2nd class citizen (assuming by coach's direction). JLin was barely anywhere to be seen during the OT. Hardin is a great shooter, but not "the" team. McHale needs to let JLin lead the team as the PG, as DAntoni did in NY. The Rockets will continue to lose as long as McHale and JLin continue to defer to Hardin. Just as things went south when Lin sat down and Hardin was playing with TD

Harden is the only reason we have 2 victories right now. Having Harden on the court is like having a 2nd PG due to his great ability as a play maker, again one of his strengths.

Lin needs to run this O. When ball goes through Harden, players stop cutting and running and start watching. Harden is good at finding people on the move, but that's not what his mindset has been. He's been in hero mode the first 3 games. It's so clear when you watch the games, his first move is always to scan the path to the basket or to take 20 dribbles in place while setting up for iso

This is the reason everyone hates LOFs.

Look I like Lin but you can't hold that against Harden. Remember when Melo came back under D'Antoni (and then eventually Woodson) that Lin started to deferring too much like he's doing now. Yes I think Melo was a selfish player but it also looked like Lin was trying to be cautious to not step on anybody's toes, especially the "star" of the team. He's been solid though and I think it will build over time.

Parsons needs to start going to the basket stronger. The guy has great ability to get to the basket he just doesn't finish well. If he improves his game it would take a lot of pressure off Harden/Lin. It seems like this team has a few guys who "could" finish well if they played with a little more aggression.

Honestly though, Harden got mugged on that last shot of regulation. It was a clear foul, not ticky tack. We should be 3-0 right now.

i dont give a f what harden did in okc , the way he played is not gonna carry the rockets anywhere. just like allen iverson. he can score on anyone, but not a team player. a ballhog. and nothing on his finger.

Lin fans should slow down on the blaming game... I like both Lin and Harden.. they are still trying to develop chemistry and understanding of each other's limitations and strengths... both are trying their best for the team... mistakes will be made.. I don't see any playing hero here... the game was exciting to watch until the end of regulation time, despite the mistakes... and Blazers were also fighting hard...

    Till the next game...

Sorry did you miss the 12 assists? Ofcourse Harden looks to score first hes by far the most potent scorer on the team, but he's also probably the best creator on the team. The ball is in his hands by design, he is the best player on the team by a long shot.

I agree with you. I also like Lin but he really needs to step up his game and help take over when needed instead of deferrring. Harden has been great but cannot do it by himself day in and day out like that. Hopefully, he will for the sake of the rockets.
