Wrong... the two best QB's in the league have beaten Wade's defense pretty well. The rest? eh (including Flacco, Rothlesberger, Ryan, and Peyton). The rookies? Its not even close, with one exception... Cam Newton (and Wade was still recovering from surgery).
The colts are getting lucky that is all. I anticipate them blowing a game or two against a bad opponent
http://www.nfl.com/standings?category=conf Five teams breathing down our freaking necks, and I wouldn't want us to play any of them on the road, and I absolutely don't want any part of Payton Manning home or on the road.
Please. Those teams don't want any part of us... home or road. We have at least a 2 game lead on everybody in the AFC, and we are undefeated in the conference.
What is it with some Texan fans? Why are you so SCARED of every other team with a winning record? We are good enough now that we shouldn't be SCARED of ANY team. Doesn't mean we're necessarily going to go 15-1 and waltz to the Superbowl....but seriously. Stop being so SCARED. I actually hope the Colts are still in it when we play them. That would mean we play all 16 regular season games, unlike we did last year after we won the division.
He's an athletic pocket passer though who can extend plays with his legs. I hate the idea of the texans having to combat him for the rest of his career.
What the heck is this doing in the TEXANS forum? It belongs in the NFL forum. Anyway, they won't even touch the Texans' record.
the Colts are the epitome of a .500 team. their wins have come within the final minutes against crappy teams (save for GB but i think that was just a fluke) and 2 of their 3 losses have been blowouts. they could very well be the 2nd WC with an 8-8 or 9-7 record because the rest of the AFC is weak. i'd love to face them in the playoffs.
they have a -32 differential, stats say Pitt, SD, and yes even MIA are better. At the end of the year, differential usually doesn't lie.
Wrong. This is about the Texans' biggest division rival. We play them twice during the last month of the season including the very last game, which is on the road. The thread is right where it needs to be.
Several of us noted a few weeks ago that they looked frisky; I'd rate them as downright scary currently. It's rigoshdarndiculous that they're going to have one - one! - bad year transitioning out of the PeePee Manning era. You look at their schedule, they play us twice, New Englad and Detroit. They'll otherwise be favored in 4 of their remaining games, and possibly five if we're mailing it in week 17. Ten wins is a very real possibility for that team. And that is frcikin' unfair.
And while we may have lucked out on timing, our schedule is looking less and less like a cakewalk. We manhandled the Dolphins, a legit playoff contender; blew the doors off the Broncos in their backyard; and that "embarrassing" Packer loss is looking less and less embarrassing every week. Meanwhile, of our 8 remaining games, 6 are against teamas that are currently .500 or better. Games like yesterday may be boring and/or uninspiring - but, man oh man, let's give the Texans credit: they have a much higher margin for error these final 8 weeks because they have taken care of business these first 8 weeks.
Where are my Tennessee Titans or Jacksonville Jaguar threads, then? If you're going to say "rival", where's my BALTIMORE RAVEN thread, too?
Lol...wrong forum bro...I guess we can just start posting threads about those pesky spurs in the GARM too?
The Titans or Jaguars aren't threats in the AFC South. The Baltimore Ravens aren't a factor in the AFC South either. This thread is appropriate here, because we're talking about how close the Colts are to the Texans.
if the game doesn't matter to the Texans (clinched AFC champ) and they have a bye in round 1.. and if the game = Colts in vs. out of the playoffs.. do the Texans play everyone for at least 3 quarters in week 17? Hard to imagine it happening, but I hope so...and I think that would be a great way to build a rivalry btwn good teams (instead of what we've had so far)
