I was in agreement with the play. It made sense under the circumstances. Going for a deep ball right there on the other hand was a low percentage option when you only needed 5 yards for a first down. Agreed with the decision, but not where Schaub decided to go with the ball although I think Andre could have easily drawn a pass interference call right there .
I thought going for it on 4th down was the right move. We were up by 12 at that point and they needed 2 touchdowns no matter what. However, I'm worried that our kicking is starting to look a little suspect.
Even though everybody hates the new Comcast sports channel due to the Rockets situation... I do like having it as an option for post-game coverage (rather than listen to the awful radio show).
Comcast channel is awesome...if you have it. Anytime I want to watch something about the Rockets or Texans I know where to go...639

I dunno, I flipped to CSN after the game and I saw Kelli Johnson talking to 3 ex-players stuttering and yammering unexciting stuff about the game (recognized Keenan McCardell as one of them). I quickly flipped back to the football games on Fox/CBS, but felt bad for Kelli being stuck in the studio with those 3.
Mercilus needs more playing time. That guy is a playmaker. He has very good speed and athleticism. The way he was relentless and chased down Fitzpatrick to end the game was impressive. I don't think any of our other linebackers or lineman would have the closing speed cover that much ground and make that play.
lol...as soon as I said the chanell was awesome, complete suckage ensued. That show that you're referring to was horrible and very forgettable to say the least.
Just from what I've seen the past 2 games, I feel comfortable saying that Mercilus is the Texans' best outside rusher already. He needs to see the field more often. Conner Barwin (albiet he had a good game today) and Brooks Reed have been invisible far too much for my liking this year considering how many opportunities they have had to rush the passer. This guy is making more of an impact with far less burn. I want to see him and Watt making opposing QBs miserable. No mercy.
One thing I suspect we'll see is Brooks Reed lining up in the middle in a few spots, thereby giving Mercilus a chance outside. Reed did it a few times against Baltimore, and while I'm not sure if he did today, Dobbins/James were exposed in coverage enough that I think Wade will consider it going forward.
Hope that he isn't going to get sweet talked by his agent into going for the money and will try to stick around for the rings. That is and always will be the only thing short of the franchise tag keeping Barwin a Texan if he gets more then 5 sacks this season.
Sorry, he's a rookie. Rookies don't get much playing time in Houston, even if they are better than the starters. Maybe next year.
Not too many flashes of brilliance in this one....nice boot leg TD though. Well. 7-1. Feels good man.
