    They're like a snake in the grass. I don't think the Texans can count on other teams finishing them off, either. Going to have to do it themselves.

    Fortunately, the first game is in Houston, but the last game for both teams is in Indy, and they might have a Wild Card riding on it, and we might be resting our starters. Sure would be nice to finally beat them on the road, though.

    I'd really like the Texans to win that Week 17 one just to finally beat them in Indy.

    Just saw an awesome and insipirational speech by their coach in the locker room after the game. These guys are riding an emotional high right now and Luck is well ahead of schedule. Certainly can't take them for granted.

    That was one of the most heart-felt speeches I've heard from a coach.

    Not looking forward to 10+ years of Luck twice a season. I bet we win at home and lose in Indy just cause it's week 17, hopefully we'll have home field locked up and we'll be resting guys.

    Looking at their schedule though, they only have 1 solid win (Packers) and all their wins are by 6 points or less.

    For all the talk about RG, the Colts didn't exactly blow it.

    I still cant believe we had to deal with Manning for so long...they take a year off...and have a pretty good looking future for the next decade plus with Luck. :mad:

    Effing Colts.

    The Spurs have had one bad year in two decades (tanked a year) and got Duncan...now the effing Colts pull the same crap.

    Still can't compare the two sports. One star basketball player makes a far bigger differnece than one star football player.

    Also, takes far more in the NFL to remain competitive than simply having a good foundation. Just ask the Chiefs, Saints, Bengals, Chargers, Redskins, and Panthers.

    He's still a pocket passer... which Wade's defense has proven to be able to destroy at times (the younger the player, the more his defense is effective).

    Its the RGIII/Cam Netwon scramblers that actually can pick this defense apart.

    No, you really can't compare the two sports, but if there was one position that can completely turn around a football team's fortunes, it's quarterback. He literally has the ball in his hands on every single play, and he's the de facto leader and face of the franchise (usually).

    Agreed... but there's just waaaaaay too much turnover in the NFL to say that they're set for the next 10+ years.

    Both Atlanta AND Philly felt that way with Vick. Drew Bledsoe had an even MORE impressive deubt and first few years before he faded away. Cam Newton has had his struggles this year after doing things last year that no rookie had ever done.

    I'm glad the Colts are gutting out games like this because I feel for their coach, and I"m pleased with Luck's performance because he is a local guy.

    That being said, the Texans have cornerstones in place on BOTH sides of the ball, they have systems in place on BOTH sides of the ball that don't rely on simple individual skill or talent to succeed.

    Hell, I'd say that despite Luck's surge thus far, I'd be more excited about Watt, Foster, and Duane Brown all barely entering their primes (together).

    @ jags....most likely win
    @pats...loss
    bills@home...toss up
    @Detroit...likely loss
    Ten@home...win
    @hou...loss
    @kc...win
    hou@home...(depends on the situation)

    5-3 now...could go 3-5 down the stretch...(8-8)
    worst case: 2-6 (7-9)
    best case: 6-2 (11-5)

    I think if the Colts win 9 or more they get in the playoffs as the wildcard...just imo

    no...wrong...accurate passers(rodgers/brees) have destroyed this team...not necessarily scramblers...

    I have to respect the team for coming on as strong as they have. I thought this weaken AFC would be for the Texans' benefit but these Colts are showing we haven't sealed our division yet unless Jacksonville, Tennessee and New England help us out and we finish those teams off in our upcoming matches with them.

    But before we worry about the Colts, lets handle the Bears next Sunday and prove that Sunday Night egg we laid was a fluke.

    I will be at the first game against the Colts. I believe we will win. The second game will be harder to win than the first. They will prob want that win more.
