Great outlook, agree completely. Sucks that we lost this last game, but I had lots of fun watching it. Young players will make mistakes, but they make plenty of great plays, and as long as they put in the effort and play unselfishly, no reason to complain.

Yeah, this game was a close game. It was winnable but I feel like we are playing with house money at this point.

Let's see how our guys do after 3 days of practice and some game rest.

Had to learn early on that you can't live and die with regular season basketball.

    I simply love this attitude!

One can only live once. So why don't we just look at the bright side more and enjoy ourselves over the rides.

Asik will get better, I'm sure.

We've gotten so many options at the PF at it has to get better even without an upgrade during the season.

Will Parsons get worse than these afew games? I don't think so.

Harden and Lin? I will be more than happy just to sit back to see them grow over time.

    What's so hard?

It's a gambling term. Basically, it means you have won alot of money already and that if you lose a bit of money on some bets it doesn't matter because you are still already ahead on the money count.

Basically, imagine you had 100 dollars and have made $10,000 through betting and then you lose $1000 dollars. It doesn't matter because that's all house money at that point, it's way more than you had at first. Along the way you had a great time betting.

In other words, it's just an expression that as long as our guys keep getting better and they are within reach of most games they play there is just no way to lose in my mind. Sure, you lose the game but the season is bound to be a success no matter what happens in certain individual games.

Even though it was a loss, there were positives in this game. Both Morris and Aldrich showed they had some game. Toney Douglas showed he has some value on the defensive end. Asik continues to be a defensive force and a rebounding machine.

The Rockets are a poor outside shooting team and they have virtually no post presence. That puts a lot of pressure on their guards to create offense. I think they'll struggle on second night of back-to-backs and against teams that apply strong defensive pressure on the perimeter.

The Rockets really need Parsons and Patterson to step up their games. Failing that, Morey will have work to do to turn this squad into a legitimate playoff team.

Not mad. It was inevitable that we would have this kind of game at some point with such a young/inexperienced/newly-formed team. Late game execution is something that will come later rather than sooner. Failing on D late in the game (closing out on shooters, Lin and Harden) as well as last possession iso (McHale's fault for not drawing up a play) are things that will be fixed. More pressing is our need for a go-to post guy.
