Needs to develop young players like Lin, Aldrich, Harden, Morris, etc.

That's awesome! People get pissed and upset over a game, but when you have kids, that game really isn't a big deal.

    well said.

but maybe he is afraid of losing his jobs if he gets enough losses by playing the rooks?

Looks like McFail has JVG syndrome.

    F the rookies.

Play your 3 best players at LEAST 40 minutes per game. Call them whiners when they start to break down.

They need to fix the forward situation fast. Patterson is not the answer, I don't care if it was the third game; and Pat isn't helping us in the "now teams will want to trade for him" thing (although Morris acquitted himself nicely).

A lot of opportunities for shots at the rim and putbacks. You know who's good at that? Jones. PUT HIM IN. Patterson needs to be limited. He doesn't really produce more with extra minutes, and never has. Give him limited time and tell him to go HAM for that time.

Yep. Especially when some of these rooks have more potential than the starters. Yes, I said it but its true. Guys like Jones, D-Mo and even Machado need PT to develop. I truly believe that both Jones and D-Mo could surpass PPat by seasons end and Machado over Douglas as well.

Morris has been surprising good the last couple of games and deserve more minutes as well. Aldrich showed some promise too.

The depth on your team is not bad, the problem is that we're not utilizing it. Can't have our starters play 40 mins a game it's only been 3 games and they're tired already.

For B2B game... the lost is understandable, though could have won in regulation time... Don't know what McHale was thinking not calling timeout on that last possesion... unless he thought too much of Harden..
The starters all gassed... PPat played good...
The bench did OK, MM and surprisingly TD.. I really like his effort, though ... don't give up on him yet...
For a HArvard guy, Lin was dumb gambling during clutch time... either your a all in, or don't gamble.. especially when gassed.. the brain will do funny things... should not have gone to OT..
I think mcHale not giving the rookies playing time yet because he need the seniors to polish their game first... just be patient... esp when it is basically new team.. they need to gel together.. However, Terrence Jones should have some Playing time.. could have provide some energy to the tired gang..

Anyway... this is a watchable young team... always interesting, and they seem to bring out extra effort from the opposing teams... move on to the next one..

Well got say I'm not surprised with the loss, Mchale's played the starters 40+ for the last 2 games...this is the 3rd game in 4 days, obviously they would be gassed.

Looking at the boxscore I'm surprised we even got OT, credit that to our Big 4 (Harden/Asik/Lin/Parsons) playing their hearts out, Morris and Aldrich were decent but hte rest of the lineup was downright terrible, Patterson went 6-16, Delfino 1-7, Douglas 1-6.

WTF is Mchale doing, why isn't he playing any of the rookies we got? This is the same reason I got mad at Adelman, and Mchale seems to be doing the same thing. You think Tjones/Machado/Dmo is gonna play worse than TOney Douglas? REALLY?! WTF man, play the young guys.

Speaking of which, my heart dropped when I saw Harden limping, scary ass moment :( Im glad the team gets a 3 day break so he can rest his ankle.

Rocket starters were gassed, and it showed with the amount of missed layups and tip-ins. They played hard and the game went into OT. All it would have taken were a couple of missed layups and 3 point shots that were missed but normally, and Rockets would have a 3-0 record. I'm delighted that the Rockets started 2-1. Most people would have been very happy if the Rockets started 2-1 on the year.
