i'm so frustrated about the decision that we've got 20sec in the last possession to win it but we didn't call a time out to run a play, that's is really silly :(

A week ago most people were on the fence if we'd win 20 games. I'm thrilled to get a few wins on the road.

My guess is Mchale doesn't have any real sets installed yet for the end of the game that he's comfortable with running.

2-1.. two wins on the road.. a home game they let get away will count for some great experience for a young team... no reason for any ROX fan to be unhappy right now.

What!? We lost? Yo, it's cool, we can bounce back. It's all hardcore... we can do it simply and pain... you don't got a bet that, we can sweat that...

That being said, I think we still need to develop our rookies. Sure, we will lose more games, but let us face it, we are not real contenders yet, not with this bench. So what is with this rush to gas out our backcourt and possibly injure them?

Put Machado in there. See how he plays against the big boys. Let us see some Jones action. I mean, if anything, these two should at least get a few minutes.

That being said, I am not too worried about this team. I think all the missed layups are from the starters not having any legs this game. If we were fresh and we were still playing like this, then I would be concerned. But overall, a very close and fun game to watch. Just make sure the bench and rookies play more.

I'm only a little pissed at all the missed lay-ups and open shots. Come on Asik... how can you miss the basket 12 inches from the ball? Lin missing a bunch of open shots too. If this continues the loss will mount. You don't win in the NBA shooting 36%.

I believe it's coaches playbook. I read the same thing was happening during a pre-season game that Lin would hide/wait in the corner. In fact, a lot of people on this forum was questioning that. Hard to say because I always envision Lin as an aggresive, fearless player. As I posted before, Lin doesn't play well in the second of back to back games especially playing 40+ minutes the game before. This is probably true of Hardin, too.

Oh well, learn from the mistakes and move on. This loss was attributed to the entire team/coaches and not on one or two players.

i'm not playing the blaming game, those are young players out there , you can't expect them to make their own decision when the game is on the line, this is the time the coach works his experience to help them out.
anyway , as you said, there's nothing to really unhappy about the team, they sure showed a lot of heart :)

You'd be crazy to think portland and minny gm's would trade their star players.

That was a bad call at the end of regulation...welcome to the Rockets James, where getting a call in the clutch is well near impossible.

I've got to see a little more of what Mchale does in order to decide what I really think about him. At the end of the games so far he definitely went to the Harden well one to many times but that may be because the only other option is spotting him up in a corner somewhere... in these next 3 days I'm sure he'll find ways to get Harden the ball in more efficient areas of the court where he doesn't have to expend so much energy.

Yeah that was dumb. McHale should have called TO in that last possession. You can't expect the youngest team in the NBA to execute end of game possessions effectively. Should have called TO & run a play.
