McHale, followed by Patterson and then Lin.

"Why is McFail playing PPat when we have Jones/DMo/Royce rotting on the bench?" is going to be a regular mantra after losses.

I voted for Chen, is there anything worse than his stupid twitter updates. Who in the hell cares what somebody else tweeted?

it's too early to scapegoat someone so poor Howard became the default choice. I guess being Asian has something to do with it.

Being Asian has nothing to do with it, it's just a stupid segment nobody wants to here that crap during the game unless they are twelve years old.

To be honest, I can't understand how any of us Rox fans could be satisfied with McHale as a coach. His resume is weak as a leader. He was a top 20 player, but as a coach, hell no. Even on tv during timeouts, he has absolutely nothing to say other than "Keep hustling. Hands up on defense. No fouls."

DD could say the same things after selling out a Chinese buffet.

He doesn't have any clear coaching strategies that you see around the league. Hell, even Terry Stotts knows how to draw up a play.

Can you remember a time when McHale created a play that worked following a timeout? I mean something different than a simple pick and roll? I can't. If I'm wrong, then fine, but it goes to show that McHale's coaching successes are minimal.

I won't say he is the reason for tonight's loss, but in many cases, his rotations absolutely KILL us. (IE last year during the final stretch: our defensive presence in the second half was Scola and PatPat, even after Camby already had 10 rebounds and Sammy was changing shots.)

I understand that Morey wants a coach to foster the youth movement and be more flexible than a JVG. But, I think there is a a coach out there with the same personality as McHale that actually knows how to create offensive and defensive schemes.

As I type this, I am really trying to think if Kevin makes adjustments in games. If he does, they're so minimal and don't make a huge difference. Rick and JVG's use of Chuck Hayes on strng forwards and centers is an example...or Rick drawing up an out-of-bounds play for Kmart or AB back in the day. I don't see McHale having the capability of doing this on the fly.

He's a good guy, but he shouldn't be in control. Finch could do it or one of the other guys on the bench that already tell Kevin what he doesn't know duirng the game.

Obviously, I'm not his number one fan, but I think it's because our fans and players deserve better. Yes, he's a bargain for a rebuilding team. But now, we have a foundation. I would hate to see Kevin repeat his past mistakes and create a rift with Jeremy or James or to jack up rotations to the point that a young stud like Chandler Parsons becomes a disgruntled talent like Kyle Lowry. (Firmly blame Mchale for the falling out.)

Anyway, I love my Rockets and my Rockets fans. But Kevin McHale...meh.

Where's the "They're barely out of diapers" option?

Really... 13 new players, mostly rookies/sophomores, what on earth were you expecting?

The Rockets are still going to be competitive for a playoff spot, but folks REALLY need to accept that the season is going to be a rollercoaster of great looking nights, and nights of play so ugly you want to put your boot to the TV/Computer...
