I really do not understand why ppl keep using $ 8.3 mil for comparison. You know that's not true, right? It was a backloaded contract, structured as 5/5.25/14.75 mil in year 1/2/3. Lin as the player gets $ 5 mil this year, and $ 5.25 mil next year, and will have to wait until year 3 to get $14.75 mil. In other words, Les and Morey are basically saying, Lin you are a rookie starting pg for us now and next year, but in year 3 we believe you have star potential to make near max money. When Houston signed him, Lin had played a total of 64 games, garbage minute games included, and started in 25 games, so that effectively makes him a rookie in experience.
11/3/2012 Kyle Lowry - 28 pts, 8 reb, 8 asst Goran Dragic- 15 pts, 2 reb, 10 asst Jeremy Lin - 13 pts, 3 reb, 7 asst Jeremy Lin bringing up the rear again...FIRE MOREY.
That's not relevant. We're going to be well under the cap the next two years unless we get another star. The actual money saved can allow us to pay the star more money and go over the cap in the future.
So is this going to go on all year? Constantly looking up your ex on Facebook is a bad idea, this is basically the same thing.
Lowry got us Harden ... you want to go back to your favorite player Kevin Martin? Looks like 6th grade didn't teach you "LOGIC" ...
We could've had one of 'em. Dragic wasn't even that expensive. Lowry was on a lowball contract. Lin's been just a disappointment. Not bad but he's nowhere you'd expect after Linsanity.
Why is everyone comparing Lowey/Gragic vs Lin, didn't the Rockets lost the first two and Lin was a FA? Shouldn't Lin be compared with other FA guards at that time? I'm really confused, lol.
I'm all right with comparing the 3 but the op put posts like this and disappeared himself for a chunk of time .just think about it.
Cripes. Is this thread going to be kept up all year. In for a long year if that's the case. I'm happy with Lin as our PG and I think he'll get better as the year progresses. Lowry and Dragic are very good PGs but they're no longer on the Rockets. I'd rather not dwell on that fact.

+1 fans with emotional attachment have been crying, that's understandable, they cried in the summer, during preseason, in the first several games, and maybe more games...but better give yourself a reasonable deadline, you can't cry non-stop over players no longer on our roster. You can go watch their games and post on their forums, but after all, this is a Rox forum
Kyle Lowry - 7th season, 9703 minutes played Season record - 0-3 Goran Dragic - 5th season, 5227 minutes played Season record - 1-1 Jeremy Lin - 3rd season, 1300 minutes played Season record - 2-1 And your point is?
That is my point.. that it's absolutely absurd to compare Lin to the other two guys. And just that you can actually compare them speaks more for Jeremy Lin than it does the other two. Thanks for posting that.
