er---Romney only just started publishing any sort of detail about what he's going to do, and in case you haven't read some funny examples--- This will somehow magically grow the economy exponentially, since tax cuts lead to growth and I don't want to hear that spending does the same thing, and I don't want to hear that economists across the spectrum have slammed the magical marginal tax cut leads to GREAT SUCCESS argument. But let's focus on one policy point at a time. I highlighted the death tax for s**ts and giggles. But what of the territorial tax system? http://prestowitz.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2012/07/23/beware_territorial_tax_proposals SWELL! global competitiveness will be great! repatriating taxes, bleh. Look, we want to give the corporate taxes to the foreigners, so we can profit-maximize like bosses! in conclusion, people, please read what Romney wants to do now that he has the scantest of details out. It might just reinforce the nature of a corporate presidency that gives not too many s**ts about Americans except as conceptual pieces in micro-level economics games, or as pawns in global corporate competitiveness (i.e repatriating profits for executives as quickly as possible).
For a while I assumed Basso was living in a fantasy land...but you...youre just insane. No one, presumably not even Romney himself actually believes he has a chance. This is an electoral college voting bloc, hell even the popular vote wouldnt get Romney elected. What proof, pollisitcally or intrinsically, do you have that Romney is "way ahead?" You dont. Just like Romney had to proof Jeep is moving to China. I dont feel sorry for you, I laugh at you. I laugh at your meaningless fervor for a losing campaign. I laugh at your obvious attempts to skirt reality in favor of insanity. I hope this is your alter-ego...because if this is really you...then I bid you good day.
Yack ...........yack ......................yack What has President Obama said he is going to be doing on January 21, 2013??
http://www.businessinsider.com/obama-economic-plan-2012-10?op=1 Implement the 'Buffett Rule' Lower tax rates for middle-income families and corporations Under Obama's economic blueprint, two tax breaks would expire: The tax cut for single, unmarried taxpayers earning over $200,000 per year The tax cut for married couples making more than $250,000 per year. Implement tax credits for companies that bring jobs back to the US Instate $15 billion in domestic manufacturing tax credits Close a loophole that allows companies to shift profits overseas Implementing a big tax cut for clean-energy manufacturing companies Reform college and higher education Create new tax credits for small businesses that hire employees and give raises Streamline regulation for small clean energy and biotech firms Consolidate departments and agencies that focus on trade Back private investors and make public offerings easier and more! Something tells me you've been camping in this thread way too long and not looking at what actually matters---you know, the issues and all that?
I remember the last few days of the Clinton campaign against Bush I. You could feel the positive momentum for Clinton. It was so obvious. I remember the last few days of the Bush II - Gore election. I could feel the positive momentum for Bush II. Didn't feel anything from the Bush II - Kerry campaign. That campaign was negative on both sides clear down to the end. I remember the positive message and momentum of the Obama campaign in 2008. His message was positive. He was smiling, relaxed, confident. I knew he was going to win. Any rational, sane person that is watching these two guys can see the positive momentum of Mitt. That positive energy is there. The same positive energy that was there for Obama 4 years ago, that was there for Bush in 2000, that was there for Clinton in 92. There is no way that you can't feel it. No way. Helen Keller could feel this. This race is over. Mitt is your president on January 20, 2013.
You base your assessment of the election on feeling? And "positive energy"? I don't think we live on the same planet, buddy. sorry. You can keep on posting about how you're feeling victory, but don't delve into issues unless you're willing to commit.
No. Don't base my assessment of the election on feeling. Feeling and positive energy is simply the confirmation of what I base it on.
Folks just remember, tonight is day lights savings time. It's Mitt's favorite time of year because he loves turning the clock back. --Joe Biden
Really? He's going to pass a tax plan that's the centerpiece of his agenda but has no specific numbers or details? He's going to repeal Obamacare and replace it with something or other that doesn't exist? He would take on Iran, but he's not sure what he might do differently? Yes, very, very clear.
Mitt clearly laid out what he is going to be doing on January 21, 2013. Not over the next 4 years but on January 21, 2013. Once again, what has President Obama said he is going to be doing January 21, 2013?
Just curious, where is this coming from? Or are you just trying to troll? It's looking pretty good for Obama. http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/2012/romney-vs-obama-electoral-map
Hey! I have a question for you, Will the right use Christie and Sandy as the excuse for Romney losing? Or will they face the fact that Romney was a poor candidate?
