    Why does it surprise you? You mentioned 3 good movies by most standards, he's worked live action and animation and had hits across the board. He's also worked for Disney and Pixar. With MI he was able to establish himself as successful with blockbuster hits and big name stars. And with all the CGI Star Wars movies are practically animated anyway.

    It wouldn't surprise me if Disney was looking his way.

    He's also done Incredibles....those are four great movies right there. He knows how to blend action, story and character very well. That's exactly what the Star Wars universe needs.

    Start with the first one that was made, Episode IV: A New Hope. Besides coming out first, it has the exposition that explains the Force and other aspects of the Star Wars universe.

    Why does everyone want Nolan. There is nothing in Nolan's body of work that suggests he has the sensibilities for Star Wars. The Original Trilogy was fun almost whimsical with moments of humor. Hell, I don't think Nolan's ever smiled.

    And you Nolan fan girls are nuts if you think The Mouse is gonna let Nolan Batman the golden goose.

    My educated guess is Bird. Verbinki and Wheadon.

    Who says the next trilogy will be just like the OT? Star Wars doesnt have to be all humor and family fun. I dont get why people think that is the only way it can be made. No one knows what the story is going to be like in Episode 7.

    I do wonder if someone like Nolan got the gig, if he could co-direct with someone who does humor like Whedon.

    Or Luke is adopted by 2 ghey dads who was born from a surrogate mother. The whole prequel was just a dream by Vader (who himself is ghey).
