I understand it to let Livingston go if we didn't trade for Harden, because the Rockets were about to play the rookies, to tank the season. But when they got Harden, the objective changed, so it makes more sense to keep Livingston as a vet backup.

For those who said that those two are young, 40 minutes are okay, you need to take this into the consideration, those two have never played that kind of minutes in their career, people's body cannot just be turned into that way immediately. Their body can adjust to that, but it takes time.

I say it's great they are playing 40 minutes a night. These aren't veterans we have to rest, people. These guys are young. I'm sure they can handle 40 minutes a night.

Terrance Jones need PT for sure..

White would be a good player to play along side Douglas

All we have is a starting back court. The guards on the bench are terrible, and it doesnt help we drafted two power forwards.

It doesn't have to be a guard, it just needs to be someone that can facilitate the offense. A forward could do the job. White may develop into that, but he needs time....probably more than TJ or DMo.

I heard that a dude named Steve Nash wasn't happy on an 0-3 team.

If Douglas continues to suck, look for Machado being given a chance. Yes, Lin and Harden are young. But you don't want to overuse them to risk injuries. Most starters average 36-40 mpg. Anything over 40 is too much, no matter the age.

Look at how many young point guards around the NBA are currently injured/recovering from injuries/have been injured:

Wall, Curry, Gordon, Rose, Paul, etc,.

Even though they are young, heavy minutes lead to their injury.

Much better to save them and have them for the long haul, than to get injured and their ceiling be reduced.

This. What a terrible mindset to have. I would think fans of a franchise with crippling injuries(T-mac, Yao) would understand at least this much.

Lin is recovering from knee surgery.
Harden played in the finals and Olympics.
They'll wear down or get hurt if they keep playing 40+. It's a long season...

    Totally agreed with your points.
Tony Douglas did so poorly those past 2 games as well as other guards.
