they get 2 2nd rounders.Considering the rockets want to trade 4 howard, they'll likely to accumulate assets.i think rockets also got a pick out of landry's s& t

    @ Bill \
Knicks paid for Douglas salary ,partly because he's guaranteed and partly because of his poor performance last year.

And I hardly remember anyone else on the Knicks roster that can
made up the sal fig of $3m for camby(not sure pls clarify) after adding
    Jorts and Jordan.

Jeffries? Good locker room presence but another guaranteed PF?:p
    (insert PF jokes here)

Dont think it's Shump either since Knicks wont likely to trade him unless it's something of value ( Nash trade)

And perhaps it's a favour for camby too.

We signed Harden to a huge contract because he is awesome. However, we will never be a title contender without another star. It's more important to keep cap space for any potential trade than to waste it on a backup point guard for a team that is at best a 7 or 8 seed.

You should post this on any Knicks board. And you'll get gazillion responses and gazillion stats about how Douglas was possibly the worst PG last season. And how he sucked so much that D'Antoni played a guy 24hrs away from being waived instead of him.

Why was Jorts let go? He could be productive at the 5?

Small sample size, but the coaches don't seem to trust him to rest either Lin much and things tend to go south when he subbed for Lin. He looked OK in preseason but is likely expendable if they can find a better alternative. The issues are who you bring in and what he costs you.

It's not a small sample size, really. He backed up Lin on the Knicks and was just as bad.

Poor Toney, I'm sure he wanted to get away from Jeremy!

Douglas...was kept solely because a Livingston cut added to cap space...The Rockets mgmt knew that Livingston was a better ball handler/player than Douglas...but they were gambling on the fact that Douglas would give them something...so far in limited minutes...has shown to lack the "it" factor for PGs...he is way out of control on a break...and cant execute a half court offense...pretty decent defensively...but that isnt what the Rockets need...they need a floor general with Lin and Harden on the bench...we cant have Lin and Harden going for 40 min plus every night...they will get hurt...

I would rather see Machado...he may still be a defensive liability...but the kid can direct an offense and has excellent vision...Heck if you dont want him to get PT...get Royce White to run the offense...use that special ability that he has to create...if not...why is he on the team...

Douglas, and Cook should just be stashed away on the bench...till they are a necessity....

I think he has the tools, and in practice/preseason may be OK, but he loses his head under pressure. Maybe under MDA and McHale, it's just too fast-paced for him.

Douglas' first season with the Knicks he was actually pretty good. Then he stunk it up last year while at pg, so they gave Lin a try. This preseason he looked good but the last 2 games he was back to his former self from last year. TBH, I'm not sure who the true TD is lol.

    Cut this scrub.

I knew he was a scrub yet I remained hesitantly optimistic from his preseason showing. How foolish of me.

    The game against Bulls?
I can't remember which game,post-lin injury btw, Woodson was very mad with him i think for not knowing which plays to make.

I was hoping that last year is a abnormality due to his shoulder injury.I also
though a playmaker besides him like Harden & Lin would help.
I haven't fully finish the last 2 games yet,but it seems it's not the case.
