We'll try to do the best we can. It's getting expensive to provide all of these HD TV stations, etc. and try to take care of everybody's tastes, and stay in business. Unfortuantely, the beer distributors figured out and now charge pretty much the same price for beer whether it's in a bottle or a keg. FYI, we pay almost $ 1.00 for a bottle of coors light.....I wish I could sell it to you for $ .50 but those days are long gone....I remember when I use to buy beer in a store for $ .25 a quart. I typically avoid places that do this. You won't get Rockets fans as much as a bunch of trashy drunks, who will talk **** all night. I'd gladly pay an extra dollar or two to avoid them.
If one of you wants to call them to see if they're airing the game, go ahead. -Every Wednesday from 5-close Christians has $1 drafts. $1.50 on Monday. -Every Friday Azteca's has $1 drafts. -Sherlock's Baker St - Friday 3-9pm has $1 domestics and $1 wells. -Every Friday Lucky's has half price beer and shots. They also used to have $.50 small domestic drafts, not sure if they have them anymore. -Henry Hudson's Pub has $1.50 all night, every night -Griff's has $1 Lonestars all day on Friday's -Two Rows Grill & Brewery has $1 beers on Wednesdays It's even easier to find a place that offers $2 drafts, which is still cheaper than they're offering. Who even said Jake's had to say they would do it for $1? They could have came back and offered $2. Instead, it looks to me like they don't plan on budging at all.

Agreed. With this Comcast SportsNet clusterfück going on, I'm surprised more establishments who have Comcast haven't made an effort to get their names out there like this. It's very much appreciated. I will definitely be checking out Jake's at some point because it's right around the corner from the gym I use 5 nights a week. Couldn't be more convenient.
I can see his point as well. We all want lower prices. He was hoping Jake's would budge, and they didn't. It was worth a shot.

Why don't you try the place out, see if you like, and as stated, we'll do the best we can. One of the problems we inherited when we took over September 1st, was no liquor license, just beer and wine. Hopefully, we will have licquor in the next 30-45 days (waiting on final approval from the city), and that will give us more room to adjust for some cheaper beer prices. Thank you. Se3ms like people coming into a resturant and expecting free beer. Other resturants have beer selling at 3 to 4 dollars a bottle. I been to a couple of bars stating they had the game and when I came they had no showing. Cant go wrong with someone having the game on with 2 dollar beer. Thats a bargain. Might as well try the place out since not many bars have comcast.

This place closed over TWO YEARS AGO. I honestly now get really mad when I see a 2012er post. NOTHING a 2012er has posted contains a shred of value. You just googled dollar beer list and are posting it like you know what youre talking about. Please, do your research before you post things it makes this place run better. OLD and INACCURATE list. Try HARDER. BTW Christian Tailgate hasnt had a dollar beer night in over 1 year, its minimum 1.50 at their various locations. Sherlocks too. Aztecas is instant oral herpes once you enter the door, that place is trash. TL;DR dont post BS and youll survive.
Jake's Philly Steaks and Rockets Games Web page is being updated and although we have a business Facebook page, we are still conflicting with the old Jake's owner and Facebook page. Our new one is updated the old one isn't (try other Jake's Philly Steak Facebook pages). Early next week we will have the web page updated and a direct post to the Facebook page. We have had numerous difficulties replacing the old with the new, however we're just about there.
