Not only is he playing in the fourth quarter, but he's doing positive things for OKC. I'm shocked. Did he really improve enough to play in the 4th against the savvy veteran spurs?
I hate it when no matter what positive a person is doing, someone has to come in with a condition. I will use Harden for example, "Harden is a willing passer and gets things going." "It's easy to get things going when you have Durant and Westbrook on your team." "Harden can score with the best of them." "that's what happens against 2nd unit scrubs." "Harden scored 37 in his debut with the Rockets." "Yeah, but it was against the Pistons." Give Thabeet some f'ing love. He is playing on a CONTENDING TEAM... AGAINST a contender. Put all of the conditions you want out there, but he is producing. That's what you want. For the players in the game to produce. If you are the best second unit guy on the planet and your coach recognizes that so he puts you in vs the second unit... don't take credit from him for producing. Is this something he will do every game? Maybe. Maybe not. But, why are comments like this so much more common here? You are a respectable poster so I don't mean to take this out on you. I just see it all of the time and I am just trying to figure it out.
Also got a block and 2 steals. Not anything that is all-star but this is Thabeet. He didn't look like a liability out there (minus a play or two against Duncan -- but that's Duncan being Duncan). I thought he played well.
Is he an all star...NO! Did he have positive minutes withour looking lost...YES! He'll probably get more minutes because of his showing tonight.
Wait till Daniel Orton regains his health and catches up with their style of play play. All over for Thabeet.
He's with the perfect team for him. Just like the other two main front court guys (Perkins and Ibaka), he's not being asked to do much on offense and just focus on D.
Ha ha, you took the bait! Jk. Thabeets future is on the defensive end. Tonight he showed promise well beyond his time here.
Thabeet played 12 mins and only had 2 boards, 1 pt, 1 turnover and 2 steals. He doesn't seem like that big an upgrade over the Thabeet we cut.
1 block and 2 steals per 12 minutes isn't an upgrade over the Thabeet we gave up? It was horrible watching Thabeet when he was in Houston. It's not just the stats either. He played his role when he was on the court and seemed to look like he was much improved. I'm not saying the guy looked like he is going to be a stud, but considering last time I saw him I was thinking that he had NO hope at all, this is an upgrade.
obviously none of you watched the game otherwise this would have been posted already <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cWGy5eoXVBc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
He had only 2 fouls in 12 minutes. That's an improvement. Well, Morey got Lin back after prematurely getting rid of him. Maybe someday Morey will get Thabeet back too.
Sweet! Bounce pass through the legs of Matt LeBronner. That is some playground BS. Now, if Collison would have converted, I may have been more impressed.
