NYT Nate Silver Doubles Down: 75% Chance Obama Wins

Silver had 49 out of 50 electoral states predicted correctly as well as all 35 Senate races in 2008. Also, I believe all but 2 Senate races predicted correctly in 2010. You guys think Obama is too dumb to be the president, but somehow he is brilliant enough to manipulate the media and independent polling companies to be in his pocket. The least you could do is pick a consistent fairy tale and stick with it.

He also got 36 out of 37 governorships correct in 2010 - which all makes the criticism back in 2010 even more amusing.

Silver has been money in 2008 and 2010 and I see no reason to believe any different in 2012.

 

You said his job is to spin for Obama. Who is paying him to do this? The DNC? He must not have been paid enough in 2010 when he predicted the GOP would take back over 50 seats in the House.

 

Obama provides him w/ access to their internal polls. Ditto in 2008.
