I feel the exact opposite. I think Morris needs to be given every opportunity to succeed this season. The reason is simple: Douglas sucks and Machado is a rookie that needs to be in the Dleague. If Morris even plays competently, then he can back up Parsons, allowing Delfino to play SG full time(Harden play backup PG when Lin's resting), limiting either Douglas or Machado off the bench.

Yeah and that's the problem with him. He looked exactly the same he has looked in every single game he has ever played in the D-League or NBA. People are trying to attribute it to him being rusty or recovering, but I just can't agree.

imo, people can still succeed on the bench. i'm not saying we shouldnt play him at all, but should never start.

Morris will be our back up 3 by seasons end, where he belongs.

Why shouldn't a backup rotation player not start when a starter goes down? That's basketball 101. If you think he should get some bench minutes, then he should also get an opportunity to start if someone gets injured.

Im sorry but if your gonna give Morris the boot after 3-10 performance then you gotta hold Jeremy Lin accountable to the same standards. Stop playin favorites and call it fair

sure, if we have better pg than lin, boot lin too and move him to the bench.
We have a better backup pf in jones, play him and see if he is worse than morris.

Morris's primary responsibility was to space floor so Harden and Lin could work their PNR with the Asik. Whether or not he made his threes, he was still a better option from that stand point than Jones. I suspect this may change when the Rockets have more of the offense down.

Terrence Jones and Motiejunas can both space the floor. And, unlike Morris, they won't get destroyed on defense and the boards.

I will say i still think he moves too stiff for a guy who's got good shooting mechanics and post game. I haven't seen his brother a lot, but i remember him being a little stiff too. That could mean it's a structural issue that's genetic or could be due to them growing up doing similar things/workouts. It wouldn't hurt him to improve his hip mobility.

Tjones isn't a shooter. He can make them at times, but he's a guy teams will leave open right off the bat because he's more dangerous going inside.

Dmo wont get destroyed on D? Dmo is an offensive player, much like Morris. They both struggle defensively.

    Give the kid a break.

He needs time to develop. He made some mistakes, but you gotta let him make those mistakes to see if he learns from them.
