Were all of you as in awe of Tony Douglas' back up skills as mine? What about when Greg Smith showed us his fouling skills? How about all those shots close to the basket they gave up?

I think that the Rockets' bench will definitely need some fine tuning throughout this season. The bench, together tonight scored a +/- of a whopping negative five. Will the return of Patterson, and the subsidizing of Greg Smith and Morris remedy this?

Will our bench be that much better when Patterson is to be moved to the line up?

I am quite worried about this, since tonight we have a stellar starting.

I am hoping to see some optimistic views, so what do y'all with the "God Given foresight" say?

We have pretty good reserves in Jones and Delfino.

That solves the SG and PF positions.

    Smith was pretty good earlier.

So the C position should be fine.

Our problem is in our PG (Douglas) and SF (Morris) spots.

    Machado should've played over Douglas.

Delfino dun goofed by getting 3 fouls thus bringing in the scrub Cook.

Jones really should've been playing in Morris's stead.

    That solves our bench problem.

Yeah. I thought there were just a lot of Smith fans but, yeah, I'm sold. Looks like a workhorse.

We can't forget that this team is still newly assembled, and with the addition of Harden, I can imagine that almost everything changed, including defense and they had about 1 or 2 days to put something together.

McHale tried to put that 2nd unit out there with Parsons, and that quickly went bad. The bright spot is that he wasted no time in inserting Harden back in the game, so I think we'll be seeing staggered lineup changes.

I'd like to see Lin & Patterson, get some rest first and letting a couple subs go with Asik,Parsons & Harden. Then let Lin & Patterson lead the remaining 2nd unit.

I'd worry about the bench only if it still sucks with Terrence Jones and Donatas Motiejunas playing.

Morey assembled an entire team of solid role players, and turned them into Beard.

Now that we have Beard, Morey can finally surround it with the role players it needs to grow and prosper.

Getting the franchise player is the tricky part, from here on out the rebuilding process is alot easier, especially with the cap space we have.

Royce White should grow his beard out again to hopefully get PT at some point.

That way we can go from having the twin towers to having the twin beards.

Starting 5 is solid but tonight's bench needs to be blown up... The Rooks need to play, period.

I think pg is the biggest problem, I don't know what to do there. Delfino can play the 2 and some 3 and give Morris some minutes at the 3. Patterson and hopefully DMo will get some playing time, that should take care of the 4. So far smith looked capable as the backup 5, I'm impressed by the big improvement of Smiths game over last year.

Cook should be playing 15 minutes a night, give Harden a breather, he is a better shooter than Delfino, and arguably the best scorer on the team (even better than Harden although Harden is arguably a better all-around player

Can't wait for Morris's rookie contract to run out. He's just not a NBA player. Please give Jones and D-Nuts more minutes. If Douglas continues to be this bad, he needs to go as well.
