Lin just got here as well. So you gotta vote someone besides those two because there new by that logic.

My original intent was to vote for Harden, our newest, proven player.

As soon Tinman posted his comment, I switched to Lin.

    +1

Harden is probably more talented and has more experiences in the league, but he hasn't shown much leadership skills. And if his grumbling about lack of touch in last season's playoff is true, he may not has it. (Note: He might have a legit case to complain, but a leader should care about team wins more than his own stats. Players don't usually follow someone who only cares about his own stats. One reason why Melo isn't a leader, no matter how well he scores.)

Lin's leadership skills were tested by fire last season. He went from the end of bench to leading a band of benchwarmers (except Tyson Chandler) under the most intensed media spotlight possible. He handled it exemplarily. He inspired a spiritless team to play out of their mind and win games where they had no business of winning. He deflected credit after victories and took all the blame after defeats. He never complained or criticized his teammates in public. He shares the ball on the court and plays a team-oriented game. He also plays PG with its inherent leadership position. I agree with the Admiral, Lin has born leadership skills.

In the lockerroom, Parsons is probably a glue guy and seems to enjoy that role.

Did you guys see that sequence of turnovers in the middle of the game? Lin had a turnover, and then Harden immediately turned it over after him. Therefore, Lin must be the leader

Harden was great, but Lin had the best +/- on the team. They will both be leaders. Parson may be the leader of the 2nd unit, as I don't think he and Lin will play well together. Not sure who can play SF in the starting lineup though. Delthreeno? Terrence Jones?

Lin is the face, Harden is the beard of the team. Enough said!

it was obvious Lin was running the team. Harden was just riding his coattails. Harden is lucky to have Lin take the pressure off of him. Lin for the win.

While it's true that, after Lin was forced to sit with those back-to-back phantom block+charge and only Harden came back, the entire team was just standing around looking completely lost and we got destroyed by the lowly Piston rookies, I still think you are going a little overboard there. I mean, seriously, Harden was awesome tonight. The dude's only had two practices with the team. Give it some time.
