I dont know... 33 rebounds IS 33 freaking rebounds...

That give you the opportunity for at least 66 points. Now if that happened or not, I would still say the 33 rebound game was better. You only see that once a decade, if even. Not even counting a debut.

I understand you want to compare Rockets debuts, but it might be "better" to compare Harden's debut to Drexler's near quadruple-double during the first game of that season (where Barkley was suspended).

Regardless...DAZZLING debut for Harden. It was like watching a video game...this guy can do whatever the hell he wants.

There's a bit of blindside impact of Harden thats cool. Last week Rockets are laboring, out of nowhere with one practice we got a franchise changer.

But Barkley 33 boards. Everyone's gushing about Andy Varajao's 23 boards in the opener. Barkley got 10 MORE. Thats like Varajao and Omer Asik COMBINED

It's a nice poll, but really think about the hard-on everyone has for Love- then consider 33 rebounds. . .

Harden because he's still growing, he hasn't had a chance to mesh yet and WE HAVE 6 MORE YEARS WITH HIM!!

I would say Barkley's rebounds, but it's been quite awhile. We've dealt with a good 3-4 years of mediocrity, and prior to that another 3-4. This feels really good right now and makes me excited for this team's future. We've got this dude for the next 6 years and he's 23! THANKS PRESTI!

33 rebounds for sure. That is rare and almost guarantee a win. You literally controlled the entire game.

thanks for this cleverly disguised if you are an old ass Rockets fan thread:p

    two different kind of excitements.

    Barkley - NBA Finals excited

Harden - we just got a franchise player excited

Lin - people can just now talk about his play as a Rocket

i was leaning toward barkley but i voted tie.

but like i said, too different types of excitements

harden is like we finally got someone who's a superstar . before his acquisition, i thought we would suck. we didn't have any all star worthy players before him.

barkley because the excitement of the trade and readiness of putting the seattle loss behind us.

harden will win this poll, because .

    1. you posted right after he did this, it's fresh in our minds
    2. you have to be old to remember barkley as a rocket. you know what the kiddies think of him here

If I were a troll, I'd vote Lin. LOL.

To me, Harden's debut is more excited hands down.

I already knew Barkley could rebound. And I knew he was over the hill. And rebounding wasn't the main thing we needed at that point.

Harden is our future. I had doubt whether he could be a franchise level player. Now it looks very promising. He is exactly what we need.

If the question was which performance was more impressive, then it would have been very close.

Harden was playing like a 6'5" Chris Paul. He just goes where ever he wants to go on the court.

What? We definitely needed rebounding cause Shawn Kemp killed us the year before.

He said excitement. If you don't remember correctly, the talk of the entire NBA was the Rockets with Barkley, we were expected to make it to the finals.

WE STARTED THE WHOLE BIG THREE CONCEPT

Oh, I agree 100% on your first line.

I'd like to see the rb% for chuck that game but still 33 rbs. The round mound of rebound lives up to his name.

tinman...why you go destroy a perfectly fine poll.

I need you to grow a stache and beard with me this month for Movember and post pics in IzakDavid13's thread, and you need to help me get all Rocket's staff including Morey to do the same

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=228219

I already have 30 people in my company doing the same

    Wear the Beard!!!!
