Yes it was. It was as though they were looking at each other wonder who the go to guy was, and of course there wasnt one.

Whats painfully obvious is that the good teams have playmakers on their 2nd units. OK with Harden, Dallas with Terry, ect.... Or in Miami's case, when you have 3 go to guys, you always keep one of them on the floor. A luxury the Rockets dont have.

I really hate these stats. So misleading.

Harden with 44 minutes. Lin if not for the foul trouble would have played almost the same amount of time. Our terrible bench is going to get one of these guys injured.

 

Houston fell apart when Lin was in foul trouble. Toney Douglas was horrible. Wonder if they regret cutting Livingston right now.

 

he is a starter now, he played 31 coming off the bench lol.
35 minutes should be the norm.
So what is livingston up to these days? I don't know if i can take more douglas. We definitely need a four that can score some and rebound hope ppat is up for the task other wise, the bench gets worse.

Considering how bad 4 position played, it's BS Mchale didn't give T-Jones at least 8 minute. He play decent in preseason and should have reward with some player time.

 

I'm still PO'ed over that charge call on Lin........ The play he got called for the blocking foul earlier was almost identical play.

Normally, the team that attacks the basket gets more calls. I still cannot get over how one-sided the officiating was.

 

I predicted 110:92.... no props?

 

I meant 35 points, not minutes.

30-35 minutes should be what we hopefully see for Lin/Harden.

And I expect 25-30 ppg from Harden. Lin, not so sure. He did alot of facilitating tonight... not sure how much of that is still figuring out the chemistry/going to the hot hand.

Yeah haha, only the first half showed. I guess they caught on that we were somehow watching FS Detroit and decided to block us at halftime. For now, sites like nbaliveonline.tv will be our savior.

 

Harden looked like an All-Star and our starters all looked good. Right now it looks like there's major holes in the team though.

-Bench scoring: We need more of it. Delfino and Smith looked good today as well, but neither can get their own shot.
-Back-up PG: TD was awful today, really wish we had kept Livingston. Offense and defense just fell apart when Lin went out.
-Power forward: Someone needs to step up and take this spot. Don't know what the heck McHale is thinking not playing Terrence Jones at all.

On another note, the refs were absolutely horrible. Jeremy had to get taken to the ground hard to actually get a foul called. And he had to get taken out early after getting 2 consecutive fouls called on him that were 50-50 calls. Ridiculous.

 

Glad I found the stream thread. Would have hated to miss the first game of the season. Hope they get the Comcast negotiations worked out soon.

Hardin was a beast. So good to see. I thought the team did well with so little playing time together. Parsons is better than he played tonight.

I think we will see some different rotations for a while.

I agree, he could turn into that guy. Impossible to say at this point. Whoever it is, I would say they need to be above average offensively and at least average defensively.
