Lowry had great stats but let's see...they're 0-1 and because Lowry wasn't clutch and blew the 4th quarter lead.
Without Lin they were down 9 points into the 4th quarter, with Lin they win by 9 points. Not saying Lin was the main reasons since we had Delfino scoring but a lot of effort by the team once Lin came on.

I feel like we really need to replace Morris. Douglas is not a point guard, he's more of a poor man's combo guard when he's playing well but most of the time game pressure makes him choke.

Harden is crazy, didn't think he was THIS good. I think OKC is going to be sorely disappointed if they're replacing Harden with Martin.

I was a little disappointed with Asik's rebounding in the 1st half, especially with his bread and butter defensive rebounds. Think they need to let Aldrich play a bit.

I'd take any 4 that can create their own shot. It was painful watching the team when Harden/Lin were sitting...

Harden "Scoring machine" greater shooter then lin
LIN "Floor General" better commander then Harden
Both are assist master and steal master

We also need to credit Delfino who shot 4 3-pointers in the 4th Quarter!!! Those 3s got us back in the game and Harden did the rest.

Asik was decent but can do better. I think Parsons had an off night and will get better. I'm wondering who our primary 3 scorer is though...probably one of PPAT, Jones, or D-Mo. Harden can't go off for 30+ every game...or can he??

Gonna have to be D-Mo. If he can just get himself to respectability on defense, which shouldn't be THAt hard, considering Asik is the goalie already, D-Mo could be the third serious offensive threat. I don't mean this week, but I can see maybe by halfway through the season, he starts to get some run.

Imagine both Lin and Harden getting into the lane any time they want, and having the ability to kick out to D-Mo out on the 3pt line, or just a drop off if he is inside, and the guy can create his own shot.

Cmon McHale, you can already see where the issues are going to be, get on it!

Anyone hear the phone interview with Harden and ESPN's Coast-to-Coast guys after the game? (Or whatever they call themselves?)

Broussard was a dbag. Hating on Harden and on Houston.

Tough being the first night of real full out speed with four new starters. I seriously thought the Rockets were going to struggle with team chemistry. They had a lull in the second and third quarter, but they will get better and more consistent. It's tough playing with all new guys and not getting a lot of time together. I was, however, disappointed T Jones didn't play tonight. We have to see what he's made of even when Patterson returns.

30+ would be tough, especially against the tougher defenses. He played 42 minutes, we can't expect 35 a night.

I think 25-30 is more realistic.

And we really, really need a credible back up PG and a half decent role playing scorer so that it doesn't go to crap whenever Lin or Harden are sitting.

Most Valuable Player: In his first game after the Thunder traded him to the Rockets, James Harden (37 points, 12 assists, six rebounds and four steals) put to rest any notion that he can't be a star.

X Factor: Jeremy Lin (12 points, eight assists, four steals and an astounding +23) left the game in the third quarter with foul trouble, causing Houston to struggle. When on the court, his passing, driving and awareness helped the Rockets space the floor incredibly well.

Defining moment: Just before halftime, a fog machine went off at The Palace and steamed up the court. Pistons workers struggled to turn it off, spoiling a bit of the opening-night show. Though the Pistons had a few impressive runs, they never had a way to turn off the Rockets' potent offense, either.
