Blown out by dirk-less Dallas at home, now barely favored at Portland! So much for dream team...mike brown fired in 3 weeks...you want the over or under on that

Over. They'll give him to All-Star break.

I was reading in another thread how Jim Buss basically vetoed getting Adelman (after Kupchak and Kobe gave Rick the nod) to take Brown instead. If this was so, I dont see Jim swallowing his pride this year at all if things dont work out. Soonest scenario, next year all star break.

While a new offense and new players will slow their start, I cant help but believe that by 3 weeks time, the Lakers will look at least decent. The real question is whether they will get anywhere near greatness under Brown or with this set of players.

Brown will be fired within a month. IMHO.

I'm no fan of Brown and I understand how important coaching can be at times but who the hell needs a coach when you have a team like the Lakers do? If anything it should be on the players if they underachieve. Those guys have been around long enough and have enough Championship/Finals/Playoff experience between them to know what needs to be done and what it takes to get it done especially with Steve Nash (has a better coaching mind than some of his coaches of late Porter, Gentry) running the point.

I do think the Lakers will prevail though once the guys figure each other out and start to gel with or without Brown.

It will work out guys. Things cannot go wrong on a team that features Kobe and Nash. Brown wont do anything. The players on the floor will take care of it.

Brown is a bad coach but they have enough talent to win despite who's coaching

Portland was a good team last year until Aldridge went out.... Then they couldn't win anything.

LA is on a 2-11 slide in Portland in recent years.

If their key players remain healthy, they will get it together as the season progresses.

But im loving how they suck ATM.
