I think Jones earned some minutes based on his performance in the preseason. Morris barely played in the preseason and then gets the start. I don't mind Morris starting, but Jones can't even get in the game on a night that Patterson sits out? Something just doesn't add up.

It was preseason. Getting upset about the rotation during the 1st game of the season is nothing but an overreaction.

Though I expect it won't take many performances like that, if any more at all, to eat into those 27 minutes.

I agree but it seems like McHale was not going to play a rookie the 1st game no matter what. You have to think Jones will get minutes early on like Parsons did.

I would still like to see Royce White at pg, can't be worse than Douglas right?

I'm still confused by the decision to keep Douglas over Livingston. Neither are going to make or break a team, but Livingston was looking like a nice handle off the bench.

My thought process was that the shooting Douglas would be a better fit next Harden or Lin, whomever comes out first, than Livingston who is primarily a playmaker.

I think we'll see Lin come out a little earlier, then re-insert him with Douglas in the coming games, so that we always have a playmaker on the floor.

That's the feeling I got about Lin when compared to Dragic after this game.

I was a guy who thought Dragic would be the better player than Lin down the line. For the difference in contracts they respectively received this offseason, I thought Dragic was the choice.

In hindsight, I'm already seeing the play style of a Lin/Harden backcourt as being much more fluid than that of Dragic/Harden. Dragic is more of a hammer than the finesse that Harden and Lin show with their games.

Really looking forward to seeing who else on the team can take advantage of the play making that 1-2 brings us.

Sure! If by hoop you mean dribble off your foot and brick point blank, uncontested layups.

Like i said before, if Terrence Jones is not injured for this game, and the coach didn't even play him...then McHale needs to be fired. Period. Seriously, he must be blind not to see Jones as lethal player.

Jones was way better than that sorry Morris.

Here's a message for McHale...STOP GIVING MINUTES TO GARBAGE PLAYERS!!
If we play a decent team tonight, we would have been smoked!

    Here are the garbage players:

    Morris
    Douglas

Play Machado, play White, play Motojuevie, play Jones.

Do not, I REPEAT DO NOT let Douglas touch the ball
and DO NOT LET Morris (suck ass) step on the floor.

After the preseason TJ put up, I was shocked he didn't get the start at the 4 tonight-- whether or not Patterson was injured. Then, to not see him play at all-- I gotta think something's up. Morris was stinking it up, we were down 9, and I was really starting to fret-- and finally McHale puts Smith to work.

Something's up with TJ. Gotta be. And I hope it's just me, and not our coach, who's clueless here.

You guys are not using your head.

We are trying to acquire one more star.

Whether it be by free agency or trade, we are going to get one.

Now, would you rather give up Jones or Morris?

That is why McHale is giving Morris more playing time than Jones.

So that he could up his value in the market.

It is all in Morey's handbook.

We are a smart, young team.

    Chill your ti*s!

I'm actually worried that you're not a troll. Trolling might be the only excuse for suggesting something as stupid as firing your coach after a 9 point win opening night, because he didn't play the 18th player taken in the draft from 6 months ago.

You're calling for mutiny, while the ship hasn't left the dock. Just jump overboard. The rest of us are doing fine.

Money reasons. Livingston had no shot in the first place. It was actually Douglas vs. Machado.

I think Terrence Jones is ready to contribute now, hope he doesn't ride the bench.
